hi there... i bought the roadready rrlapt (laptop stand) which totally s-u-c-k-s!!!!
I wanted to know if the hiRise could fit on that kind of coffin... I have a RRDJCDX10W.
Thanks... any suggestions for another laptop stand would be grateful, especially roadready coffins owners!

Depends on what Mixer you have i have the same coffin and i dont really like for it. I have a 909 mixer and when i have the XLR cables plugged in the back it just barly fits in the case. but the case is built great and can take a beating. but to anwser you ? the Hirise can fit in the case but it depends on the mixer you own.

I have a rane empath. And why does it depend of the mixer?? And how can the 2 "rails" of the stand can fit ?

Rane Empath:
Dimensions (H x W x D) (35.6 cm x 25.4 cm x 10.2 cm)
Pioneer DJM-909:
Dimensions (H x W x D) (10,79 cm x 25,1 cm x 38,16 cm)
hope the 3 mm difference won't matter :|
BTW, do you like your CDX with your serato so far? had any problem s ?

does it depends of the height of the mixer, or its width??? are the 2 "rails" like... holding under the weight on the mixer onto the coffin?

I owned the Icurve. Hated it. I own the expensive Searto stand. It's wobbly but easily portable into a foam case that fits in a normal sized recrod bag. I'd travel to gigs with doe to the portablility. The odyssey is the strongest and can be used to fit 3 different applications. [tabletop/clamped on horizontal or vertital planes] It DOESN'T fit back into it's foam container without the use of a screwdriver (& 4 itty bitty shitty screws) The foam case will not fit in a record bag unless it is oversized.
Pick your poison.

can the odyssey fit with my coffin/mixer ? (not in terms of portability but just to set it up...)

First off - The Serato stand will not be a good solution. I do not know for sure about the L stand + the cases. I'm about to be in your boat shortly, since I'm going to be getting an odyssey coffin case and probably another another odyssey stand. I'm pretty sure that the clamp of the stand will be ok for the job.
Take a look at the PDF, (from the odyssey link) find part #9. This part has 2 holes in it and is screwed in to the base section #4 (bottom right - this part has 4 holes in it). The #9 part can be rotated 90 degress counter clockwise and screwed in to #4 - creating a clamp that can be afixed to a vertical plane. This is the reason I believe you will not have an issue attaching it to a case... My uncertainty lies in the amount of support this mount will afford and if I want to support an expensive laptop in this fashion.

i dont understand your point of why the serato stand wouldnt be a good solution...

The Serato one will not clamp on to the side of a case. You might be able to put the lower legs under the mixer, I have yet to see somebody post a photo of that yet, I'm guessing the foam bottom of a case isn't a good base.

may be the legs of the stand are getting screwed into the holes of the side edges of the mixer, that would be perfect...

perhaps a new breed of mixer could have 4 bolts with butterfly nuts to quickly attach a laptop stand othte back of the unit... how sick would that be.....?
