Cheap EFX Processor?

I need a cheap effects processor. I know the Pioneer EFX (500 and 1000) are great, but they're awfully expensive.

Is there a software solution that can substitute an effects processor, using a laptop? I have an old laptop which I could put to good use if I could find some real-time software to at least make a simple delay. Anyone know?

Look into a Behringer Tweakalizer. Its not too bad @ under $150.

get one used on ebay for 100 - 120ish, and it sells for just about the same. consider it an investment.
