Yeahh mon. thats my cell. I don't mind the video not beign that clear but the sound sucks. I think I'm gonna try to find me a simple video editing software so that I can record the audio seperatly and then dub it onto the video. DO you know of n e decent programs?
Yeah I do use relative mode sometimes. Its definatly a lot easier. I've just become so used to abs mode when I just mess around and practice beat juggling and stuff. Next mix I record I'll use relative for sure. I usually use relative mode when I DJ at a club or party.
Does any one have any constructive critisizim? I got one good comment on the youtube link...

j-riva.. the mix was cool. You hit my kinda music so I may be biased. Some of the transitions were a little rushed, like goin into Donell Jones and goin into Jon B, but overall I liked it. I gotta practice now ;)

haha. Oh jeez. I saw this vid too when I put my video up on youtube.. man so much hate.. "you should change your name to DJ Garbage"
I think that the kid just needs some good mixing advice. but these people just destroyed him.
Yeah I'm feeling you on the rushed thing. I've actually had someone say that to me before about a 1 hour long mix that I recorded. I think I should just wait it out a little bit. I have a habbit of mixing into the next track after the first verse. Another reason for that is because I get bored just standing around doing nothing.. I have obviously done those mixes be4 so I didn't really need n e time to setup or beat match. If I was mixing some new shit that i havn't tried be4 I would take a bit longer to set up more and beat match and shit.
Respect on the feedback.

jaffy, good idea with rolling in the cleaner audio (i've seen other threads recommending certain sw)
the only thing i could suggest is a track listing (complete with minute mark) posting into comment section.

yeah this mix was sik. got better once u started scratchin. man these tracks are CLASSSIC. haha. can i ask why you have those markers on your serato records? aren't all songs diff. so they stickers would not matter?

DJ Mike Coquilla -> I'll be sure to include a track listing for ya.
g-g-g-g-geeunot -> Thanks for the comments. I actually had two stickers on each record on that video. There's a sticker on the outter part of the record. The reason for putting that is because I had to shift the offset of my records to 2 mins (because of madd cue burn). So I put stickers at the 2 min point so its quicker for me to setup for the next track. Sticker bumps the needle to the right place...
The second set of stickers are on the record label. Those are put there just for beat juggling and messing around. I have those stickers marked so that if I was to juggle the same track on both records, the stickers would point to the same spot.
I didn't really use the stickers at all in that mix, but they are always there in case I need them.

I left you a comment on youtube. Good mixing... Defintiely let the tracks breathe more and my personal preference, is to use the EQ's. They help alot on transitions as well. Respect and keep up the good work.

Dito...
Good music+mixing.
A little more variations on the scratchings would be good I think.
Except for "too close" - I cant stand that song anymore. Did you make those edits yourself?

I've started using my Mids a lot more when mixing. Especially with dance music. I find I get smoother mixes with dance tracks because I usually mix dance for about 16 bars. More time to smooth it out. Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to try to put up a new vid next week.
nik39 -> I do all of my own edits, I use cool edit for that. I usually just throw in 8 bars in the begining of each track.
I agree about the scratching. I don't really do n e scratch combos. I need to try some new stuff out.
Thanks again for the feedback.
