yeah man, i got the same problem. i had h.263 as an option, which worked fine. but my stupid ass decided to try some other setting and lost the option for h.263. i deleted pip and reinstalled it but still don't have that option. can anyone else help out?

i have 1.1 and still have H.263 in my options. it's listed right above H.264, BUT, i have never changed it since i first chose it

don't change your setting or you'll be assed out like me & vegas. lately i've been using camtwist with an external isight but still can't freak it right. i dont know how to use camtwist good, so the only thing i can project on top of my video output is a lil preview of my turntables & hands.

camtwist is only for web output i believe. i don't think it will connect with your external monitor. i could be wrong though

aahhh maybe that's why i can't really get it to work right. camtwist's pip is a preview box that i can't resize. yeah...can someone upload pip 1.0? all i can find online is 1.1

I don't thnk there is a webcam that is good with low light levels. I'm looking for one also right now.

according to this article www.tomshardware.com the watchport v is the best low light camera. I just havent raised enough funds to try it out yet. Its bout 180 on amazon, but the apple isight boasts great low light capability and i can get one of those used for about 100. Still searching for a low light video on it.

do yourself a favor,...don't get an external isight if you plan to use it at a club without lighting. shit looks like ass. i get a fuzzy pic that is pure garage on screen.

to use pip chelu,...put the settings to h.263. the only downside is there is a delay

PIP flickers, and i would really like to use it

i don't have the "Apple VC h.263" Codec, only one that simply says "h.263" which seems to be a different one.

but to be honest i think it's more something that has changed with a new version of video-sl or mac os-x.

that's why i would like to know if anyone has pip still running with the newest versions.

i use macOsX 10.6.3. (Build 10D573)
with Scratchlive 20049 ,
video-sl 12020
and PIP v.1.1

anyone got it working with a similar setup?
anyone got it working at all? which versions of the software do you use?

i found out the best i can achieve is with the v-snyc option turned off

and in PIP, use h.263
with frame rate manually set to that of the monitor.
