Would be awsome to have that feature in the Offline Player Mode. I know it's easy to set beatgrid with the jog weel ect but what if your in a plane, a train, a bus or a subway and wana do a lil batch of Track sorting, beatgriding, re taggin ect
I know for me, i always come up at the gig at least 1 hour before and sometimes to pass the time i do batch renaming and sorting or i set a few cue point up in advance in my "TO Play" crate.
Id like the possibility to beatgrid all my stuff when ever i want, i sometimes bring my laptop at work, and at my breaks or on lunch time i sort some stuff, fix some cues and tag correct artiste and titles and i honestly dont see myself bringing my whole setup at work just to sort up my stuff.
I dont know how you guys feel about it ?
Cheers

Good stuff, i tough i was the only one missing that sort of features.
I dont really mind to not have a offline mixer dought, but that beatgrid feature would be very usefull in Offline Mode,

+1. this is a must... just doesn't make sense to have your controller plug in just to edit beat grids.
serato is itch 1.x going to be release anytime soon. please guys don't ignore this question....

i doubt that. but it would be great to hear from a supporter
btw
when serato supporters communicate with us.. it makes things much better for us users in terms of not causing frustration on our end....

that was in regards to itch 2.0, but i'm still waiting to hear about the next release itch 1.x, listen as long as we can have beat grid in the next release, they can take all the time they need for 2.0 to be developed.

True :-D Yeah i feel you 10000% bro.
Honestly beta's of the next version should come pretty soon. Probably as soon as Scratch Live 2.0 get's released. They are already on RC2 i think, am pretty confident it will get release sooner or later.

totally agreed! i'd love to pass some time here and there by keeping up on beatgrid maintenance but carrying the midi controller everywhere to do it just isnt feasable.
at least (er, w/ the vci-300, praying it works this way w/ the xone:dx) we can set cue/loop points without the controller.

superb request.
there needs to be as many features in the offline player as there are with the online player.. except for the decks, pitch bending, etc.

Totaly agree with you buddy :-) Doesnt make sense to give us the posibilities to sort and create our cue points, track tagging and what not but not be able to Beatgrid the whole thing up.
I know for me i do everything at the same time, as in i tag my songs correctly, preview them carefully, put in my cue points and all and now since they added beatgrid WHY Cant i just finish my track sorting proces with that also.
Kinda sucks ball's :-(

+10. Since there is already so much added to the offline player to setup and configure your set and tracks beatgrid should also be added... I understand not addeing EVEYTHING, if you did you wouldn't need to buy a controler. but give us the option to edit like we want with out having the controler with us. Try dragging a NS7 to a car dealership to edit tracks or in a cubical that you can bearly fit your PC in, do you really want to be sitting on a long bus or subway drive with a controler unpacked and plugged in??

+1 It does seem rather obvious though. Anything that can PREPARE a track for playback on the decks should be allowed in the offline player, i.e. loop points, cues, beatgrid, BPM adjustments, etc.

It looks like there has to be at least a connection with a DX at one point. At home I can use the beatgrid adjusting in offline mode. I took the Itch CD to my work and installed Itch 1.6 at a Mac there. On that computer I could not see a beatgrid at all. I saw another difference. At home I have 4 cuepoints available. At work I saw only three cuepoints. Also at home I still have 1.5 on my Macbook and there I have 4 cue points now too.

What a WASTE :-(

It wouldn't be logical to offer offline beatgrid tweaking without offering beatgrid functionality, so you have your answer: a resounding yes.
wadup
4:22 PM - 29 March, 2010
Not quite... because this thread is about asking for a feature with beatgrid for the offline player. yes i agree it wouldn't be logical, but you never know, serato can offer beatgrid in offline player and then fully implement it in 2.0 for existing controller.

wadup is right cause the request has been to have the ability to set up beat grids while we wait for 2.0
Subdriven
6:08 PM - 29 March, 2010
True we never asked for it in teh online version.. Just asking that while we have it offline we would like to be able to set them up. But then again we did mention that we would like to be able to setup anything we use ONLINE in the offline mode too.. so in a way we did ask for it online too.. a little around the bush, but we did..

This is my concern.. Can someone from serato verify if beatgrid will be included in the online player for all controllers.
Cid K
7:27 PM - 29 March, 2010
It will... It already work with 1.6 and the Xone DX (Wich was built for that controler)
So my guess it will be the same for all the other controler, betagrid offline and online,
My god people! Serato aint that Stupid...
