Science behind the Xone DX Lack of Power button?

DJ Xio 8:11 PM - 21 March, 2010
Just wondering:

What is the science behind the Xone DX's lack of Power button.

This seems dangerous at first... plugging and unplugging an AC filled with electric current without any on and of switch....

Can we get somebody to shime in on this?

Thanks!

it is USB right? 5V dc......

why would you need to turn it off as opposed to unplugging it?

It's Not USB Powered. As A&h said to me. There is no way the amount of power that comes from the USB port would power the LED's let alone the sound card. Does seem a bit strange in not having a power button but just unplugging and plugging back in a lead at the back is not exactly an issue and not exactly dangerous unless you an appendage that fits into the PSU adapter.

oh not usb powered... oh, i see its 12V adapter powered... not bad... unplugging that shouldnt be bad.

I wonder what the savings were by not providing the switch! =D

typically A&H. There is always something not logical on their products.

... couple this with a broken power adaptor (it happened to me), and you'll get a perfect Candid-Camera.

If it's not the power adapter, you might want to access your warranty. I don't think anyone on a forum can help you with a physical problem with your DX.
