I have a mac book pro and use mk3's and a pioneer 800. When I stop a track in abs mode and then try to start the track at the begginning of the song it wont let me. Its like its making a cue point almost and it starts from where i pushed stop. Why cant I start it at the begginning

Absolute mode mimics real vinyl, drop the middle to the beginning of the control record and that should start the song from the beginning.

djdannyd is correct :) You may wish to use REL mode instead of ABS mode to use Scratch Live in the way you described.
