Hey DJs
I got my SL3 back in August and I got 4 vinyls so far.
The first set had one good one and one that was a little warped. Not like you think. Its just that its sorta bowl shaped. So if you can imagine, on one side when you spin it back, it tends to keep spinning, its the side Id want to use. The other side is the long playing side. So well I thought Id get a new set. Well the new set had 2 vinyls with the same issue. How do I get a good set. or how do I fix?

Seems like you just have bad luck, I've purchased many over the years and I think I only had 1 bad one.

Just ask to open the CVs at the store. I do this all the time at Guitar Center and Sam Ash, and they have no problem with it. I usually open about 10 to 20 before I find two that are near perfect.

These new v2 records (with the new label) are definitely made poorly. I have bought at least 5 pairs of the old v2s and they were all fine. Two of my pairs warped in the heat so I bought new ones, with the new label. They are obviously warped when you look at them. When you put em on the tables they suck! I don't think either side backspins right on either of the vinyl I got lol. Needless to say I was pissed and I still haven't used the new records cuz they're worse than my old ones that got warped in the sun. lol.
Next time I will definitely ask to go through the vinyl to find flat ones. I would have last time, but they only had like 2 pairs of the black ones and I wasnt about to pay extra for the colored ones, and Im glad I didnt cuz I woulda got some wack ass warped vinyl.
Also that glass shit hasnt worked for me. I put it in between two pieces of glasses in the sun and it didnt do shit. I didn't try bending it backwards after it was hot though. I only did that when it was cold.

I have a decent CV collection, and I've only had 1 set that "feels right."...that would be my original black CVs.

So the original ones are better than the new ones? only got spinback problem with the A side not the B-side, was told to bend or flex it back into shape from someone on DJforums.com

yeah ive spent about 40-50 bucks trying to find a "fix" system (glass, cookie sheets, high end hair dryers, etc) and nothing seems to get them quite right like a flat piece...I really hope we can get to the bottom of this and find a REAL solution...
It never used to be so important but these are the only (pretty much) records we use all night! Back in the day it was cool just dont go crazy with the few messed up records...now I find myself trying to adapt my whole style to fit the warped records...
If anybody has a slotution that really works for them...and not something they heard works...please post it!!!!

Yup seems to be common amongst a lot of people having this problem....weird considering some bought theirs new or new replacement CVs...I guess no spinbacks only on side B for me

go to the store and pull $10 out of your pocket and buy another... open it in the store and if it is warped give it back and open another.
