To start I noticed before my gig started that my id tags in my entire library was completely gone. I spent the first 2 hours trying to get my library and bpm back in order.
Next after playing a song it completely disappeared from the library, I couldn't find it in the crates or library, very embarrassing.
Next I had a live performance so I popped a cd into my internal cd drive, Itch hesitated and momentarily cut the song that was playing. After it came back and the song resumed, The right turntable that was originally playing the song, platter stopped spinning and the left turn table that had a song in cue ready to be mixed was spinning as if it was playing the current song. I had to let the song play out, play music from my ipod, and restart itch to get things back to normal.
Afterwards itch was acting very buggy and I am still missing several songs. What is wrong, I enjoyed the set up while at home, I shut down and dismount everything as required. I am totally confused and need help. thanks

Hello, to my knowledge Itch is unable to clear your tags for safety reasons.
What program did you use to tag your tracks, where did you source the MP3s?

What is your specification? It may be that you CD drive shares the same bus as your USB ports. Did you try another port?

Hello,,, i used itch to id my mp3's, most of my mp3's came from my cd's, email blast, digiwaxx, itunes, etc....
Im not sure about the internal cd drive, no I didn't think o trying another usb port. I am letting itch analyze my files again.
I have the
macboo 2.4 ghz
2gb ram
250 internal drive
500 gb external firewire drive

not quite, itch software always change when its time to do a gig, what i mean is the database gets corrupt and i find myself always fixing the database. the V7's are fine the program is bugging. I shut down like I am suppose to. But I've done 4 gigs with my new set-up, and each gig I have had a problem with my database. But the crazy thing is it works fine before I leave. And its fine after set up at home. WTF! go figure.

That is very odd. I'm sorry that you are experiencing these issues.

Please excuse me for the upcoming amount of questions, but it's important info when trying to trouble shoot this.
1) When you say your ID3 tags were gone, do you mean specific tags like BPM or really every tag incl. track name,...?
2) What format is your external hard drive in and is it USB powered?
3) Do you have all your music on the external drive?
4) Is 'Show iTunes library' selected in ITCH's library setup?
5) If you open ITCH's setup screen, which build number do you see at the bottom left? (The number in brackets, besides the version number)


When did you recognize that this song was gone? Did it completly vanish from your HD or only from the ITCH library?

1 Just the bpm info was missing files were as if they were new to itch not analyzed,
2. Formatted in Mac OS Extended (journaled) it is usb power WD 500 gb firewire
3. All of my music is on my external drive in a music folder and inside my itunes folder.
4. Show itunes is setup and displaying in itch
5. the build is 15047
I just recently started using the usb furthest from the screen. I couldn't find the songs in itch after I played it once. Also did a search using finder, no result, I actually had to add the missing songs that I know of to the hard drive again on yesterday. I don't know what happened. But I have not had any more major issues other than the crates becoming unorganized, no biggie I just clicked the bpm tab so that it will line back up. Just kinda of weird. But on the upside I am having a blast with my new set-up. loving it, I just don't important music to not be there when I need it. and I try to speed mix so I gotta have my file lined up.
