Dogs & Cats pretty much get all the same diseases we do.

Mine have had bladder infections, ear infections, enlarged hearts, you name it.

One of mine has something growing behind her right eye that's making her eyeball bulge out so much that the eyelid can't be closed anymore. Vet wants to charge $1000 to just remove the eyeball. She'll be looking like dude on the Oakland Raiders helmet, but still have whatever it is making the eye bulge out in the first place. She's likely to die from her enlarged heart anyway, why prolong her agony. When she starts to look like she's in pain we're going to have to put her to sleep.

In the mean time, she's still a happy dog all jumpy and happier to see me than my wife when I come home. Weird.

It's amazing how attached we get to our animals.

it's all about what you eat and what chemicals you are exposing your body to.

Yeah I would rather be put to sleep than be in pain. :(

Rudy is a male dog :) and he hasn't shown any signs of being in pain. We are treating him as if nothing has happened.

Thats so sad! Dogs are great, and mine has always been part of my family. One of the saddest days of my divorce was when i was out of town and my X gave my Lab away...
