Serato Software Feature Suggestions

What features would you like to see in Serato software?

Static Waveform, Moving Bar

Ok, read thru the FSS thread and didn't see this though i think it must have been requested before, so consider this a seconding:

Display the entire waveform of a track across the screen (perhaps in the display-all-decks mode) as when you view tracks on Soundcloud or production software. The moving waveforms that show you only snatches of the track at a time zooming by really don't help much, they just look cool, but what i'd really be looking at in the current format is the time remaining, whereas the fixed-wave display with the moving "needle" more closely approximates a needle going across a record and you can see at-a-glance - even in peripheral vision - where all breaks are coming and, in a relative sense, where you are in the track, which is more useful than simply knowing how much time is left.

Well, you can zoom in/out on the waveform with +/- keys, zoomed out gives a closer approximation of what you want. You can see about 30 seconds ahead and behind in the track when zoomed out.

Thanks Konix, but that doesn't cut it for what i want. You see what i mean. And it's in keeping with the Serato mission of vinyl emulation - the most like looking at a track's progression on record. Even with 30 whole seconds warning (lol) it's still almost impossible to read when moving.

My way would also let you see how the breaks sync up with all the cued decks, kinda like how the real old-school mixers mark the segments across the top of their records to better match them up when flipping thru the crate. Seems like it wouldn't be hard to implement at all, you've already got the vertically-stacked format where each track gets a full horizontal stretch, just freeze that waveform, then if doing that makes it too small THEN use that zoom feature to see it better when you need to.

Do you agree that this is more vinyl-like, or do you think it's a bad idea?

Closest thing i've seen to this is Torq, which has my fave waveform display of all the dvs's, but that wave moves too, it's just easier to see cuz it gets more real estate.
