Hello,
My name is Daniel and I am a Dj. I lived in Romania and just moved in Hamburg, Germany. I've been in some clubs and I've seen that altmost everybody uses Serato and turntables.
I never used Serato and I never played on vinyl. I only played on cd-players. What I've seen here in Hamburg is really cool and nice. I got some skills, but never scratched and things like this... so I want to buy this stuff, Serato and Co. :P
I put my eyes on Technics 1210 Mk2 and TTM56 or 57(Depends on how much money I will get until the time comes). Do I need something more ? I have a preety good notebook and I've seen some videos about this software. I don't think that I need something else(for example Sl3)... or do I ?
Thanks for answering,
Daniel

just using 2 1200's and a rane 56 with serato sl1 will work. (( cheapest option ))
the 57 has serato built inside along with effects and other options. ( 1,200 ) or less depending on deals.
the sl3 is the top performer of the 3.meaning better inside parts, better sound quality ( with good files ) a option for 3 decks and many other options.
if it was me i would go with the 2 1200's,rane 56 and the sl3. and then maybe later on get the 57 or a newer version of the 57.
hope this helps

But what is Rane 56. It's a incorporated SL1 or it's just a simply mixer ?
If it's just a mixer, I'll prefer to buy a pioneer :)

the 57 has it built inside = better deal really.
the 56 is like 700-800 then serato is 500.
im sure serato will drop a new version of the 57 soon with better inside parts and usb 2.0 or firewire.

i had the 57 for 3 years and its been flawless along with the 56.
pioneer are good.but for quality the 56 will last longer

that will work.the sl3 offers a 3rd deck.the 57 doesnt but the 57 offers internal effects and control over everything.
