Yeah I felt it. Shit actually woke me up (which is hard to do). No biggie though. I'll take a million of those small ones as long as they keep releasing the pressure and avoiding the big one.

4.5 is baby food.
6.6 in northridge when i was in high school and home alone was NO JOKE. saw houses on fire, cars on fire, roads buckled, parking structures collapsed.
Got to see Bill Clinton (no homo) make his appearance and got two weeks off of school.
I can't imagine what a 8.0 feels like.
And yes, a big earthquake is going to come, whether it's tomorrow or 10000 years in the future. We don't know....

4.5 in bed you can feel the bed shake.
6.6 in bed you are bouncing up and down on the bed like you are possessed. It was pretty fun actually.

Depends on what you consider the big one. I don't consider a quake like Haiti "the big one". I would call the big one something that breaks off cali into the pacific. Now that my friend is the big one. nm

LOL only the non-californian natives will make a big deal about a 4.4 earthquake. once you get into a 5 and above, things tend to get more violent. ( the Richter scale is exponential) A 4.4 in socal happens ALL the time, nothing new... get used to it.

A 4.0 aint shit because Its just is like a sudden jolt then stops quikly. The thing that gets people's hearts pumping is that at the moment you dont know if its gonna stop or keep going.Anyway, I aint gonna front, I was on full alert

lol this all sounds so crazy to me the whole ground moving thing, i guess its no weirder than living in a city thats rapidly sinking because someone thought it would be a great idea to build a costal city in an below sea level, shit down here sinks into the ground alot, like on that episode of the simpsons

7. something,lol
Anyway, sometimes when Im laying down and get up to fast, I get dizzy. Well thats what happend this time and I walked into the restroom.I felt that my dizzyness wasnt going away and actually kinda started to freak out like I was gonna pass out or gonna have a siesure or something. Sure enough it was just my mind playing tricks on me and the ground was actually moving. Like rolling very slowly and for a long ass time. My blinds were swaying back and forth and when I went outside, all my nieghbors were all outside tripping out.

CNN keeps saying that a 6.0 is bound to hit in the next few days.No need for alarm folks. Best thing to do is be stay calm and be prepared for anything. I like how everyone thinks this is a pre-quel to a larger quake. THE BIG ONE will simply be a quake of 8.0 or higher to occur in either the great LA metro or SF Metro area, where everything is highly populated and the damage to infrastructure and life will be catastrophic. Its going to happen but dont dwell on this shit like its 2012.

While things are still good, Have a contingency plan in place. If you survive, You def want to know where to go to look for relatives and loved ones. If survival matters to you, You'd be prepared for the unexpected.

Supposedly, the 2nd person that was killed during the earthquake was someone who was running out of their house to avoid injury and got hit by a car WTF

My mom was telling me about a guy she met who was telling her about the Tsunami a few years back. he said he was running for the car with his daughter and could see the water about 100 yards in back of him. it kept getting closer and closer.. he didnt know where his wife was.
As they were driving away the water hit, the car started banging around and the water pulled him and his daughter out. they hit a palm tree and were able to climb out of the water. his daughter in one tree and him in the next one over.
Imagine going through all of that and not knowing where your wife/mom is. or anyone who was there with you.

LMAO!
Ill put it like this. If your the type that hates not having control of what go's on in your life that directly affects you, then an earthquake will really Piss you off! You will (or should) realize how small of an object you really are compared to the size of the planet let alone the universe.
LOL, OK so Im thinking a little to deeply but It aint nothing nice

That's the only good thing about hurricanes and river floods is they move slowly and give lots of advance notice. Even with tornados and flash floods you have some idea that they might be possible before they happen, but earthquakes almost always give zero notice.

Earthquakes give you little to no notice when they occur. From my experience, since Ive been thru several 6.0+ quakes, including 1989's Loma Prieta Quake in the SF BAY AREA, Some will shake subtly for about 5-10 seconds before everything goes to shit. Just enough time to get under a desk or run outside.
Those videos posted clearly demonstrate how unprepared Californians are when it comes to earthquakes. The best examples are:
- The guy has his camera on, Calls his son and runs to stop his Flat Screen TV from falling over. Your life is worth more than your TV set. Had it been a stronger quake, Beams would have fallen on that man. Is your life worth $800? No.
- The family going Easter Egg Hunting. The earth starts moving.... The first thing any parent should do is pick up their kids and move away from the house. You notice, 10-15 seconds of subtle shaking go by before everything starts to move like crazy. The houses could have fallen on the kids and adults, for their sheer carelessness to the situation. Bad parenting if you ask me.
Some people simply freeze up. You just need to react so you can have a better chance of survival.

I think you just answered your own complaint.
Im not saying its a good thing at all to freeze up but some people are just gonna do that. That shouldnt make them a "bad person" or parent.
I also dont think its a good thing to "just react" although we cant help that either sometimes. You could actually end up putting yourself in a worse situation where you end up failing in your rescue attempts and if that happens.
