Wi-Fi effect on SSL?

Does Wi-Fi or Airport, effect SSL performance alot, reason i ask is because i was having some sort of lag issue with scratch live, and when i turned wifi off, Lag was gone. Before this i had to have the refresh rate below 60 and now i don't. I have a Hackintosh netbook with OSX, is there anything else i can turn off or disable to allow SL to run better ? Thanks.

for your hackinstosh netbook i would suggest leaving it off, for most macs and newer PCs i havent noticed much negative inpact on performance

So you know how to put OSX on a netbook but don't understand how a janky wifi driver will affect system performance?

I get occasional drop outs when I leave my wifi on. No drop outs if I turn it off.

My SL has crashed twice in 3yrs using wifi. Think it's normally if you're viewing flash or high intense web pages. Stuff like facebook is fine, i regularly chat to other djs whilst at a gig to see how their place is.

this is why djs want auto sync, so they can be creative while they spin, and creativly think of things to do to pass the time like chat on facebook and think if creative things to post on their friends walls
