i would like to make a mass change change of dates added since mu ext hd drops out once in awhile, then i have to re add the folders back and its that days dates not when the tracks were added/folder was made

There is no way to bring back the previous date added info. The only thing you can do is to set everything to being currently added today - so therefore you can start over.
