I save all my music in specific genre folders on my HD, i.e Funky House, Electro, Hip-Hop, Drum & Bass etc..

I have exactly the same setup for my crates in Serato. Now previously, when I added new tracks to the folders on my HD, I would have to go and locate each new individual track in the HD folder to add to the relevant serato create, a right royal pain the arse!

The other day, I wonder what would happen if I just selected all the tracks in my HD folder and dragged them into the relevant crate in serato, including all the tracks I had already added previously? I was surprised to find out that serato only added the new files, and ignored everything that had already been added to the crate!!

Has this always been the case? If so, I could have saved myself so much time.
