So I been driving it like this for some months now forgetting to really deal with it.Im not sure how important it is to have it there but I havent noticed anything. At 1st I thought maybe water could get in but no, hasnt happend.Anyway, I want to do something about it now.
The rubber strip easily snaps into place but it just doesnt stay put. The obvious answer would probably be Super Glue I guess. Any other suggestion. I included some Pics for a better idea What Im talking about. Thanks.

Not super glue. You need something that dries flexible or the glue will crack. It will come off again and be impossible to get that old glue back off.
There is something you can get at an auto paint supply place. My friend had a Jetta and shit used to fall of it all the time. He got some from a shop here that ricers cars. Not sure what it was but it definitely dried flexible. Something silicon based maybe?

But honeslty, this is really the only problem I ever had in years vs BMW's that Ive known to get stuck and unable to go in reverse.

3m automotive weatherstripping glue helped fix mine bit.lyOh hell ya, I think thats exactly what I need!
But do I glue it to the car itself? As you can see in the last pic its ripped from the very thin edge.Im not sure that would make a difference Whats happening is that it POPS out from the whole top area that its suppose to snap into.

yea I filled in the gap underneath in mine because water would get through but yes you can glue it to the car. I did and I never had a problem after.

I had the same problem. It makes a lot of nice when you hit the freeway. If you're still under warranty, take it to the dealer. I think they fixed that in the recall a couple of years back.

is it broke on the corner? I'd go to the dealership and get them to quote what they would do... we all know it would be expensive... but at least you will see if they will replace a part or fix the existing stuff... if its the part then you can look around.
if gluing it will work i'd say theres prob some kind of apoxy that will work, i'm a fan of gorilla glue too...

Ya I just have something personal against BMW, I guess. Not in a hating way but I think it has to do with my ex's BMW and all the problems she had with it and would expect me to have the answers all while she thought she was the shit because she had that piece of junk. Cant speak on other german cars though :-)
