your constant preaching about the "hood", your insistance that your outfit has massive effect on getting gigz, you said you get gigs just from the car you drive up in, you dont have any concept of what "real" hiphop is, you dont have any concept of black eyed peas PRE fergie, your total lack of concept of monetary values (thinking you can get a 68 for 900), and your use of a NS7........any of these would be fine as an isolated incident but add them up and your either 13 or your in a delusional world that resembles the things you see on BET

the song is musical. have you forgotten what music is? is it all about looped drums and simple riffs? the reason i like this song is because of the tempo change in the middle. it is cleaver, its fresh, it gives movement to a type of music that is usually repetitive and the dance part at the end is really jazzy and has great chord structure.
now, i'll be the first to say that BEP threw their hip hop card out the window a long time ago, so if you play "hood" music and was intrigued to see a new BEP song, you need to re-evaluate yourself as a DJ homie.
if you truly love music, you will appreciate the musicality of this song regardless of the lyrics because of the movement, structure and originality. i am one of these people that loves music so i can appreciate the track. but i also like country, jazz, hawaiian, reggae, hip hop, rock, house, spanish music (i am not latino), and virtually any other type / form of music so i may have a totally different outlook than you.

^^^ " someone failed to realize that this thread is just for fun.
Take "Imma be" and add a phrase after it... its that simple, no need to argue why this song rules or sucks.

ooreo, please don't link to sites that have dubious music download links. There's almost no chance that that site has redistribution rights for the music that they make available for download.

chris ross,
My concern is this forum. I don't care what you, ooreo or anyone else does elsewhere on the internet. And what I do is none of your business.
This is an official Serato company forum. We have many business partnerships across the professional audio and music industries. If you can't understand why it's unacceptable to discuss illegal activities here then soon enough you'll do it again (you've already been warned once) and you'll be banned.

I dont get whats challenging. Staying on beat is all the same with any music genre.

^^^^^ fo real. i couldnt do that for very long either. yet hip hop is challenging to mixThe challenge for edm dj's with hip hop is that there is a huge variation in the tempo of tracks, you can get hip hop @ 70 bpm right up to 120, edm pretty much stays within a certain boundary say 120 - 130. Which means most records will mix within the + - 8 pitch range, where the same deffo cannot be sad for hip hop!
