I recently replaced my Macbook pro 17 with a new one and hard disks were swapped for me at the apple store as this beats wasting time on trasferring stuff.
Problem is that my itunes library does not show in my new ITCH library unless I click on 'ALL' tab which wasn't the case with my old mac. Is there any reason why the itunes library is not showing as this makes life easier for me at gigs to just go thru different playlists when selecting songs ans beats as opposed to riffling thru about 9000 tracks to select next one to play.
I have deleted and reinstalled the ITCH software with the 1.5 update and also enabled the SHOW ITUNES LIBRARY TAB in SETUP but no joy still.
Somebody pls help as I have two important gigs this coming weekend.
Cheers

Hi
I believe it might have resolved itself as I uninstalled the ITCH software and downloaded the updated 1.5 version without first installing from my supplied Serato CD rom which contains the older ITCH version.
Thanks anyway and will give you heads up if any other issue arises. My laptop however is the Macbook pro 17'' monitor with 4 gb RAM....basically top of the line purchased this January from Apple.
Cheers

Hey apache1,
When you say that your bpm's are coming up wrong, are they doubled or halved or just completely wrong?
Cheers,
Sam.

Can you please upload one of the tracks that is getting miscalculated?

These tracks have complicated polyrhythms which are hard for ITCH to detect. This is because we use transient detection to calculate BPM and its hard for ITCH to differentiate between the snare, kick and bassline elements of these tracks. We are working on improving this though and hopefully in the next version it will be better.
Are you able to analyze these more correctly in other software? If so, could you let us know, it will help us to improve the way we do this currently.
I would suggest as a workaround until this is improved that you use the TAP tempo function to add BPM's for your tracks. Are you aware of how to do this?
Cheers,
Sam.

Hi Sam
Thanks for your prompt response and to answer your first question, yes I also run CUE 7 and this analyses the tracks correctly. Not that I have had issues with most tracks...in fact out of roughly 18000 songs I have only had issues with less than 15. Just that I needed to play these song at a party as they are new party bangers and am seriously struggling both on my VC300 and NS7 to achieve this due to incorrect BPM.
Second response is that I don't know how to use the TAP function to manually add BPM's with the ITCH 1.7 Never had any issue doing this with older version and would appreciate if you can put me thru so I can manually edit the BPM's.
Cheers

Hey apache1,
Try disabling beatgrids in the playback section of the setup screen. You should then be able to TAP tempo your beats manually. Then re-enable beatgrids, enter grid edit mode and set your first beat marker on the downbeat using the "x" key, the beatgrid should be calculated correctly for the rest of the track, although you may need to warp it slightly using the arrow keys. Once it is correct, press enter and it should save :)
Let me know how you get on.
