Product: video-sl
Computer: mac
OS Version: 10.6.2
---
I have vga cables and vga splitter. I want to connect my video sl to 7 TV's.
4 of them have VGA input.. So no problem on connecting to them from my VGA Splitter
But 3 of the tv don't have VGA input. They have S-video, composite video, and hdmi.
How do i connect to these remaining tv's? I tried one of those pc-to-tv the quality is very low and not reliable.
Any other suggestions?
I have MBP 15" 2007.

Hi babskool,
You'll need to use a convertor/adapter to go from a VGA output to another input. When connecting to a composite connection, you'll definitely lose quality. Have you tried connecting to the HDMI input?

Yes. I have tried composite (pc to tv boxes) but they are mainly the powered by computer usb port.. So can't have any port available for them to power up. Because this box will be far out of reach from computers.
Haven't seen any vga to hdmi converters. I got a no from FRY's electronics guy on VGA to Composite, S-video, HDMI adapters. He told me its not possible because VGA is analog and all others are digital.
Any other suuggestions?

Hey babskool,
I think the fellow from Frys have given you some incorrect advice. VGA, composite and S-Video are all analog, only HDMI is digital. Composite and S-Video are quite comparable in quality, so if you connect your VGA output to them you will notice a degredation in quality. VGA to HDMI is possible, however it does require a converter. The advantage of doing this is that HDMI is higher quality than VGA, so you won't lose any quality. There's a good article here on VGA to HDMI here -> sewelldirect.com (click link).
