i shoulda known i prob need to download separate software/drivers to use a serato box but figured i would be fine having the software for the 57sl. (i went to play out and got errors so i had to save tracks to a thumbdrive and upload to a fellow djs computer)

can i download the software free to use a box located in the clubs?

i ran into the same problem,but in reverse.i first bought an sl1 box and installed th software in my computer,not too long after i bought a ttm57sl.i downloaded the program,but for some reason now i cant scratch or anything.when i put a song on the right or left deck it just plays and i can take the serato cd out and it will keep on playing.its almost as though i cant use the mixer or the turntables the music is playing when i load it in all the modes.what am i doing wrong?what do i need to do?

znice - you are on pc? did u install the drivers? it's all the same software which can be dl'ed free on the website.

yeah support helped me out w/ a driver issues.. i just have to update drivers. gonna try when i go home

Start ~> Programs ~> Serato ~> Scratch LIVE ~> Update Drivers

to follow up on my earlier post,i wanna thank tech support for a great job helping me trought this.and yes it was a software issue.make sure you download the right software for your computer.ask or call these guys are great,but dont spend a couple of weeks trying to figure it out and getting frustrated as i did.and now i cant stay away from my 57.hope this helps someone else.peace

yeah support is lightening fast an AWESOME.

On the back of the 57 theres some little switches that allow you to change the line/phone for each chanel. Were they set Appropriately? That might have been the problem.
