Hello All,
I have started to dj different venues recently, and alot of them have multiple TV's scattered through out. My question is, what would be the best option to send a Video Signal from Video SSL (or any other Video DJ program) to all the TV's, but with giving the bar an option of switching from Video SSL to regular programing.
I understand If I unplug the main signal that is being split across the TV's I could us that to broadcast, but then the only signal available would be the SSL.
I have checked out where the cable tap comes into the building before it gets split off, It is usually about 50-100 ft. from where they put the DJ.
Starting from the DJ booth, I am guessing I would send the S-Video Signal (running SSL off of 2.5 MBP analog signal) into an amplifier, then run a 100' S-Video cable over to their cable box station, but from there is where I am getting confused on what the proper option would be.
Any help or direction in the matter would be helpful. Trying to keep cost down, but still doing it correctly. ( I have tried wireless A/V transmitters
www.X10.com) but would prefer a hard wired system.
Thanks.
