A&G Customs (West Coast)

Has anyone ever been there or had a friend go there? I know Snoop Dogg has been there, and Big Boy from Power 106 but I wanna know if a regular mofo has been there.

If you have then please answer these questions for me:

1. What type of service did you purchase?

2. Was it a good deal?

3. How was their customer service (it's easy to treat celebrities right but do they also take care of the everyday dude)?

4. Was your product/work quality?

5. Would you refer anyone else to go there?

I'm looking into a dvd headrest system for my kids in the 2nd row and all the stereo shops around me have brands I've never heard of before. I did the junk experiments already (previous cars) and this time I wanna get it right the first time... If you know of another shop you could recommend, let me know that too?

Thanks...

1. I purchased a sound system back in 06.

2. It was hella expensive. I got was 2 12" Kicker Subs with a box, 1 MAudio amp for the highs and lows and 1 MAudio amp to push the subs. It all totaled to $850 it included installation of stereo (which I had already bought some where else) and of the rest of the system. What surprised me is that they didn't have price tags on anything, the dude basically was giving me prices of the top of his head. Overall it was a good deal for them but not for me, I could off got all of the above else where for under $500 bucks easily.

3. It was somewhat average, they tend to price things as if you were a celebrity though.

4. The work was good, all the wires and cables were out off eye sight and overall the system was kick'n. Nothing to complain there.

5. Personally I wouldn't go back, and I wouldn't recommend it either if they still run it when I purchased. There's no negotiating or prices to compare, your basically going by what they say.

There's this spot in Downtown, LA called the "Audio District" (by Central and 13th or 14th Street) Its a whole block that have door to door businesses that sell car audio. It's a good place to bargain shop because each business is trying to compete with each other. I would recommend to check it out when you have time and at least see the options price wise.

Too Expensive!!

I used to live a few streets from there.

I'm looking for some headrest dvd's and really don't know where to go. The dealer was WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYY to expensive and A&G gave me an estimate for like $650 for a system... Just trying to find some other reputable places to compare prices and products...

I got these and they're not even close to $650 lol. They're a brand name and work perfect. They have a built-in dvd player too. Plus, you can remove 'em whenever you wanna park in watts, compton or santa ana.

If you're looking for the built-in effect, you should buy all the equipment online (monitors, cables, harnesses and stereo). Take all that stuff to any shop or retail store like BestBuy.

Forgot to mention; the last time I had something installed at a stereo shop, the dude installing the speakers never opened any boxes or ripped any plastic off of the original gear. He was installing used equipment in my ride. Be on the look-out for that.

I have a valor dvd double-din head unit. I'm on the 3rd unit because I had to replace it twice. It would stop reading dvd's. If you're going with the valor, get the warranty!

I have the headrest monitors in a cabinet in the garage. i usually use em for vegas trips so the homies won't fidget around LOL. I'll post pics next time we take a road trip. but for now, it mostly looks like this thmb.inkfrog.com

I've had Valor in my other cars before with no problem, plus they're local to me... But if I can get Al & Ed's to price match as they say they do, I've found that Alpine screen for $521...

Schematic, that a tiny picture btw, lol...

Well in that case, I would get the model info down and go online, perhaps Amazon.com and get your stuff for cheap(er) and either A) find a friend or friend of a friend that can do an install or b) take your stuff and have it installed somewhere.

Fuck impressing anybody, I still need some bass in my ride. I dont mean "car show" shit, just a little something for me to enjoy. I got a 10" bazooka sub in my TC, hits perfect and you cant even really hear it outside so it doesnt have that "show off" factor :-)
