as some might have seen, theres quite a few theads about DJ bags.
using these threads, and the recommendations of my peers I went with the
mono 365 dj bag as my next bag..
Many of us said we would post reviews of these bags when they get them.
as a big fan of "learn from my mistakes" be sure to SEARCH for these threads
and look at the reviews of the bags out there now.
I would go as far as saying this bag is NOT for everyone..I can see why some people
would not like it... But Im a quick fan. I didnt need a mixer bag; I have a pelican.
Im not entirely sure you could fit a bunch of gear PLUS a mixer in the 365 bag.
rather than type everything out, as usual I shot a little video walk-through.
I hope it helps you guys in deciding what bag suits your needs best.
|||||a few things i DID NOT mention in the video:|||||
*Breathable back pads(as seen here)
i129.photobucket.com
so, your back doesent get all sweaty and jacked up carrying this bag.
not as intense as a military ruck-sack, some nice support the same.
*backpack style only.
there is no obvious way to make this a shoulder bag.
but the backpack straps are very well padded, and strong.
Punch & Pie.

@Joshua Carl and @E-Double - what do you guys think about these bags now that you've had them for a while.
I am looking at the 365 or Flyby.
Thanks in advance for an updated review.

I love mine.
my PC is too big for it, but you can surely hold a MBP
alas, they dropped NEW bags a few weeks after I got mine.
I also picked up "the producer" bag, and love it.
even though I use them 3+ days a week, they still look BRAND NEW.
hardware is solid.

So I'm actually returning the Flyby for the 365. Had a zipper issue with the detachable laptop part of the pack. I really enjoyed the bag while it was functional.
Mono customer service was quick to reply and fix the situation. Unfortunately the Flyby is on back order till November so I had to opt for the 365 as I need a replacement ASAP.

I have the mono producer bag. Let tell you, it's simply sick! Durable, loads of space..
For club gigs, i carry my laptop 15', serato SL3, all connections + spares RCAs+ HDJ2000s headphones+ spare microphone + USB hub + ethernet hub (if using Rekordbox).
It's the best bag i have found.. bit pricey but well worth it.

@Joshua Carl - Nice vid!
I got both the Fly-By and the 365 - I like them both for different reasons but the 365 really seems the best for a gig bag when you have multiple things. The FlyBy I like better if I am just taking my laptop and a few things - like an everyday bag thats lighter and less bulky.

Dope, I had their bag on my wish list at turntable lab. This will definitely be my birthday present coming up.
