different style buttons in the groups?

just curious as to why some 57's have bigger, kinda concave group buttons and others are kinda flat (such as mine)? I use the group buttons alot and im gonna be using a 57 with the concave style buttons... I wondering if it has the same reaction time as my flat ones...do they trigger easier, worse? I find i have to put contact cleaner in my 1 and 6 here n there to clean it out and the buttons start working a bit better, but im wondering about these concave style buttons...so...pro's / cons?

I'm pretty sure the mixers with concave group buttons are an older built bach. The ones that are kinda flat are the newer manufactured mixers. I don't know the manufactured dates between the two.

i had kinda figured that much...more looking for info on how well the older model buttons trigger? As most know, the newer buttons get worn pretty easily and are in need of contact cleaner here and there...Im asking cause im in a dj competition coming up where i reaaaaaallly rely on using groups 1-2-6 and i neeeeeed for them to be triggered immediately when hit and were using older model 57's...
anyone have experience using both? Anyone find a difference...any light shed on this would be greatly appreciated

I have the first build.
I've had better timing accuracy when using the second build. But that's just my personal timing.
However, In 3 years with the first build, I've never had a button act up.
Btw: the build 1 and build 2 buttons are not interchangable.
