Can I record to WAV format (not AIFF) in Scratch Live 1.9.2

Hello all!

I want to record my vinyls and mixes to WAV format, since this format is supported in more CD-burning programs, also I can copy WAV to USB Flash and listen to my mix in the kitchen on my JVC player :)

But Scratch Live 1.9.2 records to AIFF format.

Is there a setting in Scratch Live to choose default recording format ?
I want to change it to WAV.

I was told it's impossible to save my music to WAV in the current version of SL.

That's very sad, since I have to lose a lot of time converting my AIFFs to WAVs.
Well, this takes a few minutes, but if you do it every day, then it's gonna steal hours of your life.

So I just ask the Serato people - PLEASE add "save as WAV" option to SL 2.0 !!!

While I feel nothing against AIFF format, please recognize that at the present day WAV has a much bigger support in USB-Flash\CD\DVD-R players then AIFF.

I agree with you 100%, i actually prefer to save as mp3 and ive had the same problem. The sad thing is that I use Adobe Audition for recording and editing audio files and if you load an AIFF file into Audition, the wave you get in there just messes up, i think somehow they are not very compartible.

Now if I may ask you

1) Which software do you use to properly convert from AIFF to Wave (or even Mp3 if Available)
2) I still use SL 1.9.2 on SL3 box, has this issue been resolved on newer versions of ScratchLive?

In conclusion: Serato should do something about this for sure, for the price of this SL box, one must be able to set it as a standard sound card and be able to do everything with it including production recording. The box is just so limited to scrachlive software which is not good.
