Google it. There are a few stores online that carry nothing but cables. You can get those very cheap!
Don't buy from retailers.

Sewelldirect.com is my place. However, if you have the money and the run is long enough, I'd buy baluns and cat 5 cable so there's no loss of quality.

Man wish i had known about this solution, the club i work at installed a long rca using a coupler and it distorts with bass hits...... I wonder if i can get them to redo the cabling using these connections.

Oh my god, some times I just have to say WTF? Are you stupid? If your a DJ for more then a week you have to have 10 of these (id say i have 30) laying around my house. Its a fucki** RCA cable.

no it's NOT RCA... it should be RG59
There IS a difference. RCA works in a pinch.

something that's always a option when doing longer runs are using xlr cables with rca adapters works just fine if you have it laying around already

if you have 30 laying around I have probably 100. I need the wire that VDJ's are using for clubs. Not the regular rca cable that loses quality or the cheap audio/video wires.
And I posted here to get some help not to get bashed. If you really just don't feel like helping just click on any other thread bro.

Im not a video expert but i think there was a misscommunication in the title of your thread since i believe the "yellow cable" is a plain RCA cable, most pro vdjs and high quality cables are going to be S-Video and up like DVS DVA ect ect

^^ ok my bad then.
I meant to ask for something better than a yellow cable. I just typed yellow cable because that's what the damn apple adapter has on it, the S-Video and the Yellow RCA output. Found one on ebay:
cgi.ebay.com
I wonder if it will work wihout losing too much quality. Last time I was working I plugged a regular video rca cable and the quality was the worst!!

Yeah.... the classic red/white/yellow A/V cable - the yellow cable is typically just an RCA with a yellow end. For short distances, a regular "yellow" RCA will work, but this is not really a "composite video cable".
The professional version of the the "yellow RCA" should really be a composite video cable (which is typically RG59) as opposed to a yellow tipped audio RCA. This is especially true when running long distances, the RG59 composite cable offers better shielding, etc...

RCA is just a connector type.... so what you really need to run professional composite signal (yellow jack) is a an RG59 cable with RCA (or phono plug) connectors

I bought mine from Digiflex - but they are Canada only...
digiflexcables.com (VRP series at the bottom)
If you have the time, I would highly recommend finding someone to make up cables with the same Canare brand RG59 cable and connectors.... but if u need it asap, lots of guys recommend monoprice. I'd go with this from them:
www.monoprice.com

WOW I just noticed they were $6 each.... I paid $75 dealer cost for mine, but it is Canara cable with real (non-molded) connectors.... I'm sure the monoprice stuff will work, but remember you always get what you pay for!

I run the cable from the swapmeet 100ft car audio. no quality loss what so ever. those I leave. but when im mobile I use the one's I brought from circuit city b4 the went out of business. the one that are like snake cable. they have like 6 rca's on each end. so if one goes i have 5 left. I have that same dvi adaptor. the color dont mean nothing.
