Just curious if its possible to record my set in itch out of the box using the hc5000? looking through the manual and forum would lead me to think I need to handle this myself out of my mixer possibly?
coming from a world of traktor this is my first serato experience of any kind. seems like in some areas there is much more detail and in some areas there is much less. starting to get the hang of it and having a lot of fun. the hc5000 feels like a very solid piece of hardware.
thanks for any tips!

Hi spotman.
Because all the mixing is done outside of the software when using the HC5000, you need to record the audio mix after the mixer stage (ie. run a cable out of the mixer into a recording device or use the computer to record). Most of the other ITCH products mix internally, so they can record the mix by simply pressing 'record' in the software.
You can use any recording software, there is a free but extremely good application here:
audacity.sourceforge.net

Hi there,
thanks for the reply, all is working well now. very very well :)
audacity is not too shabby but I think i will get a hardware recorder in the long run to save my cpu the cycles. in the meantime, im recording nicely.
