It would be nice if the DJ FX plug-in had hot keys to enable/disable them on or off.

I never thought we would be out of shortcut keys. :)
Would it be possible for a future version to allow us to remap keys or even override keys? (However I wouldn't like this as then I can't use any setup and assume keys anymore)
I'm not familiar with EVERY key in serato so hopefully others can recommend.

another box in setup screen.
Seeing as most of us don't use "int" mode that much, maybe two mapping for those keys.
"Disable "int" keyboard shortcuts"- which switches them to control effects instead?

I'd highly recommend a midi controller eh. Big buttons make so much more sense than combinations of laptop keys...
I use an mpd24, but I've mapped all the pads and knobs already, and that's just for 2 decks (plus effects).
I don't know what the correct answer for 3 decks will be eh, don't think I'll ever use 3 actual turntables, too much real estate in the booth, plus with a 3rd stream of audio, I think I'll get by with the SP6 or third virtual deck in "int" mode...

Any suggestions for what keys?
Is it possible to have a plug-in option in the Setup Menu that would allow the SP-6 keys; Z,X,C,V,B,N to be an alternate swap as DJ-FX hot keys?

ya we definitly need this, my track pad and mouse buttons are getting killed with all this clicking of effects lol
and Sikwidityo's idea to use Z,X,C,V,B,N sounds like a legit idea! or even like alt+those keys...dj fx, dj sampler..could be legit to put em on the same keys, i mean we cant start getting too picky, if theres no shortcuts left well take what we can get!
just whatever you do make sure to make it an enable/disable option in setup, and i think every feature should be user enabled/disabled just incase some people dont like the function...this way people wont be pissed! everyone is happy :)

maybe when a 3rd deck is enabled you can override the z.x.c.v.b.n.m... keys SP-6 functions so that they can control the coinciding controls for the 3rd deck (3rd row of letters, seems practical)
as for keyboard shortcuts for for the DJ-FX, that's a good question... definitely needed but sorely overbooked. only thing i can imagine is using alt or fn...
thanks for DJ=FX & the 3rd deck either way

+1 for this I'm using 3 decks and I only really need to have keyboard shortcuts to load the track and the censor function. Either that or allow us users to define our own controls. (but as others have said when playing on another system you wont have the serato standard of controls)

how about a focus marker (to highlight what button is under focus) on buttons that you can move around with the arrow keys and use space to enable/disable. this would forgo a need for key-mappings.

Okay, maybe this could help:

I skribbled the Screen with a K2SC-Buttom (Key2SC = Key to ShortCut) on the right of the searchbox.
When this toggle is enabled you can use the search-textbox to send keystrokes to control serato.
Example setup workflow:
- setup the keystroke "1" to toggle on/off the power-knob on first fx-unit
- setup the keystroke "R" to select "Right deck" on first fx-unit
Example play workflow:
- current track is playing on the right deck
- Search track (k2sc disabled) by ctrl+f and load it via ctrl+left
- Enable k2sc than keystroke "R" to enable fx-unit for Right deck and keystroke 1 to enable the echo-out-knob.
The keystroke to function assignment could be done like in midi-learn-mode ;)
so everybody can set his own most important shortcuts.
This wouldn't distract from the current workflow as nobody is searching and fx-ing at the same time. Plus the common shortcuts would still work as the new ones are only working while this textbox is highlighted (just like in the search box).

And how about being able to route the FX as PostfaderFX through the Aux-out on the SL3. Many DJs still use their "old" Mixer with FX send and return. This way you could split the FX to left and right and use them for mixing (e.g. delay).
