I installed serato software and installed the drivers and it seemed to work fine. I started the program and calibrated the turntables. However, when I dropped a sample mp3 in the player, it plays the file with no output. Serato reads the record movement perfectly so everthing seems peachy. The LED meters are going but no audio is being sent to my soundcard (Maudio delta 66).
I've also noticed that every time I reboot or unplug the device from the USB port, the computer does not recognize Serato and I have to reinstall the drivers. I downloaded the update (1.2) but I doubt that has little to do with the fact that my computer really dislikes the drivers for some reason. I am using a 10' USB Cable because my turntables are not next to my computer. Should I try a power supply or would that even matter if Serato had already recognized the device and worked except no output.

PLEASE HELP!!

first try a new usb cable i had the issues with it not recgonizing the ssl box. also your sound will come out of the mixer. ssl doesnt use your sound card on your laptop or pc its playing off of.

From the manual: Use the supplied USB cable, longer lengths are not recommended.

So first thing's first... try a new USB cable as synystr suggests, but use one of the same length as the one provided in your SSL kit (I believe it's only about 6' long). You'll have to rearrange your setup so that the cable will reach your PC, but you gotta do this in order to successfully troubleshoot. Does it work now?

whoah wait a minute. what do you mean. there's nothing in the manual that indicates that. How the hell does SSL make sound then and where does it go, and how do I hook itup properly then?
thanks!
