I use Yahoo Small Biz. I have heard Go Daddy is a bit harder to learn.

I use them to register names, but I've never used the hosting part. When I was researching blog software, some people mentioned they used godaddy.com to work with some of the common blog programs out there. They seemed to have more issues with the software than the hosting from what I've read.

GO Daddy is friggin horrible. Dont use them. Actually if all you want is a website it may not be too bad but if you want email forget it. They are wierd with their email.

I work in IT and a few of my clients used them for webhosting and email, Go Daddy is known for blocking ranges of users from sending email to go daddy domains with no warning. Which can mean lost gigs and you will never even know these potential clients emailed you.

I would recommend www.discountasp.net i have never had an issue with them.

I use GoDaddy for several sites and have no probs - although you do have to know what you are doing more -- I just FTP my site up there, etc. And haven't had any prob with email, and one of my businesses uses the email through them, so not sure about that email comment.

Ive had Godaddy block entire subnets of IP;s on me probably about 5-6 times because someone in that range was spamming. Mind you none of the spam came from my IP's but we were blocked none the less.

I just switched to www.1and1.com from godaddy.com. I used to use godaddy just for registration, but now I'm using 1and1's hosting services, DNS and domain registration. I heard their webmail function sucks, but I'm not using that just yet.

So far, I'm very happy. Not as cluttered as godaddy was just for domain registration alone.

I've been on 1and1 for 6 months myself and have had twice where the email was down for part of a day. Otherwise no problems, and a good price. I just used the templates to get online for now.

I use Powweb and it's been very stable for the 3 years I've used it too. I ftp though, so I dunno what sort of services they have. Their email service is fine though.

Wsup all

I found this new place that hosts only dj stuff. They give you a fully functioning website with a flash player and playlist management. Its pretty cool and they have a free version.

Check it at www.djdossiers.com

peace
