as a side note... please be interesting! if you have more than one account (i.e. one for you and one for the dj) make them fun and interesting! if all you use twitter for is to advertise gigs then there is no point in someone 12 states away to follow you! twitter can be very powerful and useful... it also takes time to build if you aren't celeb status or a known dj coast to coast... have fun with it! there more fun i have had on twitter the more slowly but surely i've built it up... i have been following some of the guys on here and will be following more! some of you guys post some great shit from music to just plain hilarity! anyway thought i'd share... happy tweeting

who does what? I'm a top 40/old school/house guy.... i keep my mixes light and mostly effect or trick free so the masses(the 40 people that download my shit) will generally enjoy the listen... not very much of a scratch guy but have been practicing with a turntablist although i haven't made much progress haha i should have started practicing when i originally got into djing!

I follow almost everyone that follows me as well. But if you don't have any bio/location info, most people won't follow you. Also, if you're one of those follow to get a follow, then unfollow...don't do it. This isn't myspace...nobody cares about how many followers you have. Actually the more interesting people you follow, the more you'll like twitter.

also "DJ Bio's" are pretty much the worst thing since Lil Wayne.. they are all the same, they are all played.. third person? really? c'mon.

How so? I'm pretty sure my media kit/boooking one sheet that is all written in the 3rd person b/c my publicist writes it has gotten me at least 2 conversions a month

The 3rd party speak in a bio is much more professional than "I started DJin at the age of 12 bla bla bla" it also lets you repeat the DJ name several times to keep it in the readers mind, and the whole point to a bio is to hype yourself its marketing and marketing an image is a HUGGEEE part of the game, ie: Pauly D

Bio's don't land good gigs. Networking and knowing the right people does.

and Hardy you jackass you posted saying DJ's should have their location and bio on their twitter page.. your twitter page Bio is basically blank and your location is "ace deuce"..

lol sometimes i can get a lil crazy.... usually if i've been drinking a fair amount lol
however i have found the more i stay on it the more local people i get... a lot of my followers are local to me so i try to stay funny or somewhat crazy i've had people follow me and hit me up just to say (insert name here) told me to follow you cause you're hilarious... I have told some people if you use a twitter client on your phone that alerts you to new tweets you might want to disable that function lol never know when i might get drunk and twitter happy

its 4square its an app on your cell phone so that you can check into places. It's basically the Xbox achievement points for real life, you check into a spot and you get points for doing so. Some places have it set so that if you check in the most you become the mayor and some stores actually have it so that you win ridiculous discounts if you are the mayor (Starbucks). He has it connected to his twitter account so that it shows updates as he makes them on 4square.
