Would there be a benefit to creating a seperate user account (with win XP tweaks posted in "tips") dedicated to using SSL?

The covenience of not having to change your settings everytime you use SSL is a plus in my book.

Unless I'm completely mistaken (I'm personally a Mac guy) you can change your Power / energy saver setting, screen saver setting, Network settings, and ect.

I think you can only change your screen saver settings.
Power settings and network settings are system wide.

One thing to consider (it's an old trick) is to install a completely seperate copy of XP, on the same system, keep that one with only SSL installed and maybe itunes (if you do your organising that way). You have to create a seperate partition for the new copy.
There's no problem with licensing, you can have windows installed as many times as you like on the same machine. Only problem is that a lot of "recovery" CDs that come with PCs and laptops only let you wipe the system and restore back to the factory state.

i NEVER use any recovery disks. no need too. i have XP pro and all my progs. recovery disks are full of garbage i will never use. i have though about doing a second partion and using it only for SSL but since i did the services tweaks i have had no problems with it.

recovery discs are a pain but with a lot of OEMs they are the only way you can install windows. That's one reason I really like HP/Compaq they give you a recovery CD AND a full copy of windows.

I never thought of creating a separate account to save the settings. I am going to do that.
