i usually use the denon dn-d4500, but am very unhappy with the performance i'm getting when using them with the sl1. Am i able to use the dac-3 controller? I would like to try that before going out and buying something different.

Hi Lurch323.
What aren't you happy with? Maybe we can help, it should be working great.
As for the DAC-3, it's not nativity supported, so while you can use it to map almost all the functions via MIDI in Scratch Live, you won't be able to map the virtual decks to the jogwheel.

i'm not happy with the jog wheels of the denon dn-d4500. extreme delay when trying to foward or reverse through a track. Just seems like there is no control. I also have times where the controller does not stop the track.... the track will just continue playing even though i pressed the pause. I actually have to click the pause on the screen. Any suggestions? I got the denon dn-d4500 because before purchasing serato, I called the support team and asked them what they recommended and they told me the dn-d4500 is great. Maybe I'm doing something wrong

OK.
Can you please download and install Scratch Live 1.9.2 from here: serato.com
Then can you please update the latest firmware for the 4500 from the Denon webstie.
www.denondj.com
If that doesn't work, close all programs and try renaming the MIDI folder in your Music > ScratchLIVE folder (something like MIDI_old will be fine).
Let me know how you get on.
