I'm in need of a new vinyl face plate already, i have two tears around the xfader. I also have part of some headphones broken in the larger socket... neither are major issues but a bit sad for a new mixer.
to make matters worse it wasn't me who did the damage, but cut chemist :(
any advise on taking out the headphone socket? also any idea when replacement faceplates will be available?
thanx peeps

not takin mine apart but best bet on the removing the headphone socket is to remove the faceplate & crossfader then loosen off the Nut around the headphonce socket...and try and get it through the x-fader hole...
all depends on the size and how much slack there is on the headphone board to allow this to happen...
and remember -- do at your own risk -- :)
also if the mixer looks worn atleast it looks like you use it rather than collectin dust somewhere..

I'd get cut chemist to pay for the repairs, he must be pretty loaded.
Should be fairly easy to take out the headphones socket, once you take off the faceplate there is loads of room around the faders.

yeah might give that a go. can't bare to send it off to be fixed... far too attached to it.
As for the cost of a new faceplate... i still dont know when they'll be available, let alone how much they'll cost.

Thats crazy... the faceplate looks quite sturdy. I always thought they have a cover-coating-layer on top of the layer which has all the printings.

Yeah, i'd agree with you... but he managed 2 tears about 1cm long around the xfader. One on the top left corner and one 2cm left of it.
anyway, rane mods have offered me a replacement... :) lovely people of Rane.

that'll teach me to 'preview' and learn my left from right. the second tear is to the right of the one on the left... lol
*edit function on the forum would be a bonus.

so, I was wondering when there will be different colors available for these units... I would love to rock a different color, and keep the original in it's pristine new state...
how long was it before the TTM56 had different color faceplates available?

Someone should start a face plate company for ttm57's. Do pretty colors with sparkling lights.
