What do you think about adding the date joined and number of posts that you have posted to the name information that is displayed?

Maybe this would help out some things.

We tried a "Top xx Poster" under names in the past, and the people who were "Top xx Posters" complained the most.

How do you think it would help out?

Oh, I wasn't looking for a Top poster kind of thing...just a date joined and number of posts right under the user name...right where your Serato logo is.

OK, here's the thought process. having that info might help out the newer people in sorting through what's good info and what's not good info. It would also let everyone know when someone posts something out of left field about the product, a possible validity for that statement. And let us know that when spammers get on and they only have a few posts...that they are spammers.

Now for the downside...it creates an artificial "level" system and might give others the opportunity to say "Well you only have 200 posts and I have 5000 posts...so I must be right" kind of thing...which is not good.

I was just thinking about this when the recent rash of spammers came on...you guys do a great job of getting rid of them, but I was just looking at it in a different way. I also am a member of some other sites that use this...maybe it's a type of "bonus" as well for the longer term members. shrug

Yeah, that's what we thought with the Top Poster thing, and the Top Posters were the ones uncomfortable with the 'artificial "level" system'.
