Figured out the problem with the search: No topic view
Okay I just figured out why I hate the search so much:
There's no option to sort the results by topic! I like being able to have the results sorted by posts, but I think the ability to sort results by topic makes it easier when you're trying to find a certain thread ("best headphones"). Otherwise you end up seeing 20 posts from the same topic. And if that's not the topic you're looking for, then you gotta keep going thru the pages and it gets annoying.
This would be a simple fix and I think it would improve the search feature a lot!

Yeah you're right it's not at all, my bad lol. I forgot the forum doesn't use a premade forum system like phpBB or something. Then it would be easy lol.
