I’ve searched this forum and would just like a straight forward answer, will the RadioShack Power Adapter Model: 273-1767 work with Scratch Live? Is their any difference between that model and Model: 273-1770?

I received my Scratch Live last week and I’ve barely slept since. I haven’t found any con’s yet and so far its all pro’s. Keep up the good work.

They both will work. 300mA is the minimum needed current to power the SL1. The 273-1767 model is 300mA, the 273-1770 model is 800mA.
That's the only difference between those two, and $5.

Is more power better in any way?

Also, which adaptaplug do I need in the US? Is it the N?

No, more amperage isn't significant in this case. The 800mA just means that it can power anything upto that level. The SL1 only needs 300mA.

I'm pretty sure you want the type N tip (I beleve they call it P6 in the manual), just make sure the polarity is (-)---(.)---(+), like in this pic...

sort of, too many volts will fry stuff, but amps is a measure of power available an electrical device will only pull as many amps as necessary the sl interface has a consumption of 300ma. so it wouldn't hurt anything to use the 800ma adapter but strictly by the numbers the 300ma should provide enough but then again, the sl manual specificly cites the 800ma model so i'd go with that one if i were you.
