New Control Vinyl

Pioneer DJM 800....

thats all I really need at the moment.

Maybe some Mackie 824's for home use
Psyphris 9:38 AM - 6 December, 2009
1) Crane Stand
2) Case for 56S
3) Case that can hold 4 headshells to replace shure m44-7 case
4) 2 replacement headshells w/ carts
5) PIO 2000 headphones (to replace MDR-7506s, don't want to use them for DJing anymore)

Considering that I just bought a 56S to replace my broken 909 and the red SL3 without selling my SL1, I'm not really sure when any of this will be happening.
Mperor 10:06 AM - 6 December, 2009
In likely order of purchase as long as the cash flow is right...
1. New set of 44-7's
2. More Control Vinyl
3. HDJ 2000 headphones
4. DJM 800. I love my 600 but its def put in its work and its time to upgrade.
5. Add another CDJ 1000mk3, if I do I'll get a coffin to hold everything. I use separate cases for my Techs, mixer, and the one 1000 I have now, but I think a coffin would be more suitable if I decide to bring CDJs for certain mobiles
I'd like to say a new macbook pro but I think I'll use my current mac for at least another year unless I start getting into video.
DJ ST 11:55 AM - 6 December, 2009
Innofader.
Loved my Ecler 360 because of the feeling of the Eternal Fader.
But I love the sturdiness of Rane mixers.

An External HD with Firewire connectivity.
To back-up my back-ups.

Superseal LP.
To replace the Superseal record that has served me 6 years,
but somehow has gone MIA.

Have everything I need from a gear standpoint (other than POSSIBLY eventually migrating to a Mac). Mine is pretty simple:

1. More rare CV for the collection
2. Same
3. Same
4. Same
5. Same
DJ GaFFle 3:57 PM - 7 December, 2009
1. Global Truss 6.5 square horizontal trussing x 2 (I already have the crank stands)
2. NSFX (if they ever release it for sale in the USA)
3. Martin SCX 700 x 2 (damn, they're expensive)
4. LED uplighting x 2 (maybe Chauvet Rain 56)
5. Danley TH-115 sub (this'll be my 2nd... damn they're expensive)

I'll probably get some carry cases for the GT stands I already have and I'll need an another amp (QSC PL325) for that 2nd Danley sub. I need some high headcount gigs to justify the extra sub though.

I don't know if I would get those Martins. Scanners IMO are kind of on their way out being replaced by moving heads. I have scanners and I can't wait to get rid of them for moving heads. Plus that light only has 150watt bulb. I would strongly suggest getting any light at 250watt. Makes a huge difference. For just a few hundred more you can get some decent moving heads with 250watt and you can even mount them vertically on the global truss you want.
VJ Justin Allen 5:33 PM - 7 December, 2009
I just bought a pair of ADJ AccuSpot 300's and a case for $2,000. Far better than scanners, use 3.8 amps each (low for moving heads) have replaceable gobo's and look far better than scanners. IMO.
DJ Viru 5:35 PM - 7 December, 2009
I just sold my SL1 yesterday for $430. I bought the SL3 on BF for $594 OTD shipped!

I literally jumped up and down once they applied 15% off on it and got confirmation! =D

What kind of RCA cables are you guys running to the Serato box? Also, do you guys have your Technics self grounded?

I also want to put blue LEDs in my Black 1210MK2s. Any write-ups?

Maybe if you are on Traktor.
VJ Justin Allen 6:23 PM - 7 December, 2009
They already have a Serato overlap for it. With more buttons and knobs, the ability to sit it next to my mixer between my players, instead of finding a horizontal place like the Denon needs, and programmable buttons as well.

Pair that with the next one they have coming out (with sliders, etc) and these seem like a Denon HC-1000 killer to me.

Thanx for chiming in. I was contemplating moving heads but it seems like they are apt to fail with all the moving parts. I hear scanners are quicker and moving heads are super pricey. The only affordable moving yokes are low-watt Halogens or low power LEDs (which are not quite the level of even Halogens at this point). I do like the rotating prisms of some moving heads and extra gobos which are sometimes customizable.

As far as the 150 watts on the SCX 700s, they are discharge bulbs. They are brighter and last longer than any 250 watt Halogen out there. A 250 watt Halogen has a 1000 hr life whereas the 150 watt gas discharge bulb has a 6000 hr life.

I was thinking about this new ADJ moving head but it'll be over $1350 each www.americandj.com

OR

This Chauvet: www.chauvetlighting.com (I don't know it's estimate street price but anything over $900 each is too much in my opinion).
DJ Dub Cowboy 8:34 PM - 7 December, 2009
The Martins are the biz and that 150 Watt discharge is no joke. On spec, it's hard to justify the price of the Martins but they really make good products and back them up.

I remember reading last year that Martin got some ridiculous ($4mil maybe) amount of money for R&D on LED technology. I think the next gen scanner from them will kick ass.

LEDs are already getting cheaper and brighter every day, I'm excited to see where they go...
Certified Quality Entertainment 9:13 PM - 7 December, 2009
^^ Oh yea, I know Martin are like the industry standard when it comes to lighting. I have a wizard and the thing is awesome.

I just feel that the trend going forward is moving head and going away from scanners (whch is why I want to get at least a pair). Look at it from a potential customer. Showing them a scanner vs a moving head, I would think they would take the moving head in a heartbeat. Thats my opinion though. Shit, I wish I could afford Martin moving heads but they are so out of my price range. I am looking at Elation Design spot 250 www.elationlighting.com

Once they get LED moving heads bright enough that is going to be huge!! Right now I've seen some videos (none in person) with LED moving heads and they just don't cut it compared to others

Will the X1 lights work with SSL? (ie turn on/off for functions) If not, this thing is nothing more than a smaller MPD to me. I've owned an MPD for about 2 years, and after getting the Denon DN HC1000S, the MPD has been gathering dust....

In a dark booth those lights make all the difference, also most booths/installations I DJ at, a horisontal design will fit better than a vertical.

Still, will be looking out for this one, is it just me, or does those buttons look on the tiny side?
DJ Dub Cowboy 9:37 PM - 7 December, 2009
moving heads ARE bad ass, without a doubt

I guess I have a special place in my heart for scanners because I remember tripping on them at an early rave experience

This is elation's newest: www.elationlighting.com

It'll be half the weight of that DesignSpot 250 Pro but twice as bright. Lots of moving heads will be obsolete quick when these new technology come out in February.

Once they get LED moving heads bright enough that is going to be huge!! Right now I've seen some videos (none in person) with LED moving heads and they just don't cut it compared to others

Info from www.skratchworx.com

"Geared very specifically at Traktor users, this also doubles as a regular MIDI controller for other applications too. Indeed, it comes with Scratch Live compatibility out of the box. Imagine that."
...
"The X1 also comes with a carefully designed set of parameter assignments for the Serato Scratch Live™ system, matching the relevant features of the software to the controller in an ideal way without any individual setup effort. A special Serato Scratch Live™ overlay for the X1 is also available."

agreed on the mackie subs especially the 15". I've NEVER seen one handle the bass I want from it. They do have a certain application for which they are acceptable but Mackie's reputation for needing repairs and being able to supply part has gotten really bad in the last few years.

The QSC ksub is about the same as the 15" Mackie as far as output/price/weight but has a much better warranty.

If you want to stick with mackie, they have a new 1000W 18" that is supposed to retail for 699 that will probably be a better bet than the 15"

Why would you show cover art on 15' screens much less get paid for it? I doubt the crowd cares what your cover art looks like. Browsable cover art is for the "DJ" to see, not the crowd you silly goose. lol
VJ Justin Allen 9:59 PM - 9 December, 2009
Soulsonica I'm just trying to tell you that if ScratchLive not having cover art means that you jump over to another product seems a bit...well extreme to me.

Maybe I'm spoiled but I know every song I have, the breaks, intros, outs...everything...by version. Having a picture shouldn't really trigger that much for you, most of the time I think you end up getting in a rut because of it. "Oh, I like that yellow cover version of this song the best".

But yea, I remember pulling up the 12" jacket and tilting it to the side, as I figure out what I am going to play, its jacket corner dog-eared with the white pasteboard showing through whatever color was printed on the outside of it. Looking at it like it's an old friend that I have called upon, one more time, to release it's energy that was captured within.

But times change, friends like that die and technology takes it's place.

@ VJ Justin Albert: It's apparent that you don't understand where I or many others are coming from on this. That's ok, I understand that you don't understand... but what's not ok is how you addressed it - childish and ignorant to other users' needs. As a 20 year veteran, I don't need a lecture on how to go about remembering things, or how to perform, or about technology. I'm a SL user for God's sake. I love technology and want to see it used to it's maximum potential - which includes the feature you poo poo'd. TSP obviously understands the need and has addressed it. Kudos to them. And I'm not jumping ship at the drop of a hat either. This feature has been lobbied for for years now. As the library grows (and we age) it's becoming more and more difficult to remember things by text alone. There is a very good reason the world is icon-based. The majority of humans remember thing quickly by visual cues. Listen, I'm not going to rehash everything that's been detailed to death in the other threads. If you're interested, go read and learn - if not, that's fine too.

Anything that introduces potential instability into ScratchLive is not anything worth having. Adding cover art has always been a bad idea IMO. 90% of the people using Scratchlive have no idea how to use a graphics program and when they start putting full res jpeg or tiff files in, animated gifs, corrupted or graphic files with viruses embeded in them (and yes, they exist) whatever, and then scratchlive crashes this all gets blames on "oh, serato sucks, it crashes all the time".

I would rather the team work on, oh I don't know, support for the Denon players in HID mode (I don't own Denon players, just picked it), or even fixing the OS X waveform wavey issue, rather than spend anytime working on pictures, skins, ect that do nothing for the functionally of the program.

Just my opinion.

That's exactly why it has been proposed many times for the feature to be user selectable so he/she can turn it on/off as they wish - or for users who have slow, entry-level computers. FYI, my iPhone breezes through thousands of cover art files just fine, so I think SL running on a modern MacBook pro would do just fine.

I just played an all vinyl set for myself last night and was able to pull out greats tunes because of my memory of what the songs all sounded like based on my visual association with the sleeves and the records themselves--some of which I hadn't handled in years.

That said, I think the potential instabilities that accompany aren't worth the addition of picture browsing to SSL.
Soulsonica™ 10:45 PM - 9 December, 2009
For those who have reservations about whether or not computers can handle browsable cover art - here's some food for though (in addition to just turning the features off for those with slow machines):

#1: TSP is doing now, today, and it works flawlessly.

#2: I have run SL right along with iTunes open just for the browsable artwork with iTunes in order to "see/select the music" and bring tracks into SL on the fly. No probs, runs fine with not even a hiccup much less a crash. Sure, it's clumsy to have to bounce back and forth between the two programs, but the laptop (MacBook Pro) handles it like a breeze.

Yep, you can do that. Just tag it and bag it any way you want in Photoshop.

Wowsers, lots of Traktor talk on the forum today...

APC 40 came -great piece of hardware and it worked str8 away with Ableton. I was playing around with some of the Able Ten sets they gave aways. I copped it for $319 at Pssl so I'm very happy with that. Will try to get a good .tsi mapping for Traktor this weekend and see how that maps out.

While we're on the subject, the browsable cover art in TSP is very nice. I got used to it and kind of miss it when using ssl. I"ve still got my SL3 but sold my 57 as it was gathering dust. I like both programs but TSP does allow for some really creative sessions. The looping is off the hook as it's quantized as well as cue point jumping. Unless you are spot on with SSL it wont sound right. In TSP you can jump to a cue point or anywhere in the song and it will land on beat. Now that is cool IMO. It's nice to skip over a boring part of a song or say a Weezy verse and not miss a beat.

Beat masher is sweet as well as the gater effect. The program takes a minute to work out and configure, but once you get the hang of it; it becomes pretty logical. This usually takes about 6 months if you're like me. I don't really use the 4 decks that much but I do sometimes.

Other cool features is I can run it with about any device I want, VCI, NanoPad, APC, and even CDJ 400's with native support. You can use any soundcard you want, (unless you want to use the timecode vinyl). I'm currently rocking it with an Audio 2dj, and it's a sweet setup. Alright, back to the SSL discussions. I love SSL but it has felt limiting lately and a bit boring. I'm not a fanboy of anything, I'll use what works for me. Carry on...

IMO, how is Serato or any other software company supposed to evolve & stay in business if they don't add any new features or try to move forward. Yes, Traktor was unstable back in the Stanton days but today it's a whole different animal. IMO, Traktor finally has it down now, software wise. They can still use help in the support department. Too bad the ghost of bad reputation still hunts them til this day.

IMO, the only thing they need now is Video. If one day they support video, you can betcha I'll be buying me a copy of Traktor Skratch Pro.

Yes, I love Serato, but if one day I see something better, I won't hold back.

OH, I have no issues with pulling records out of crates, that's all I used to do. This discussion was about a feature that has the potential to add instability to a program when it's not really needed.

Back in the day I could never type a list and get every song by an artist, by BPM, by genre, by any of a number of things. I didn't have an itunes smart list that I could create in 5 seconds, I had to write down songs or just remember them if I wanted to play them that night. I had no prepare section to drop songs into.

Back in the day there was a need to pull up a 12: jacket, keep it at an angle and look through it all night. With all of the additional tools we have today...is album art really necessary? And is it necessary at the risk of introducing instability?

How about you just stay at the version Scratchlive is at from this point on? It's stable for you and you don't need any other features. Other people want them and they can deal with the instability issues.

Problem solved.

How are you so sure that it will add instability? Cover art is already built into Serato and it doesn't seem to be a problem. This will just take it to another level.

DJWoody, I posted this above.
DjWoody 12:50 AM - 10 December, 2009
Yes, I read that but the same thing can be said about loading songs with viruses or corrupted MP3's that were downloaded off limewire!

But, yes, I can see your point about full res artwork. But either way, they can already do that anyways. I don't think they do it now, cuz I'm pretty sure most DJ's don't even know that Album Art support even exists on ScratchLive.

Realistically any new addition to the program can lead to instability. Quite a few people have asked for the artwork feature so what's the problem. Just because you don't use it should not be included?

Tractor Scratch Pro if Serato SL doesn't add true browsable cover art to the GUI.
Anyone who's been reading the cover artwork threads, know what I think of this issue. Been considering having a "closer look" at Traktor for the same reason myself. Still I want to stay on a platform Ive grown very reliable upon, and used to. Also, all those ltd CV's ;)

Quote:
So I guess you're saying the legions of DJs who have been spinning vinyl for decades upon decades and remember the bulk of their material via graphic association aren't "real DJs"?
Exactly, most of my fellow dj's I play with, still use Vinyl and/or CD's, guess why, they've got covers...

Quote:
But times change, friends like that die and technology takes it's place.
Justin, in this case, technology (SSL, ie: virtual records) has not catched up to its analog counterpart yet. There is a reason they implemented artwork for loaded tracks. If you've payed attention to what moderators have been saying, they are working on some form of better artwork integration.

Quote:
Back in the day I could never type a list and get every song by an artist, by BPM, by genre, by any of a number of things. I didn't have an itunes smart list that I could create in 5 seconds, I had to write down songs or just remember them if I wanted to play them that night. I had no prepare section to drop songs into.
While in a set, you would not want to make a smartlist, then have SSL unload the iTunes library before it can reload. I don't believe you work that way? There's also a reason people spend so much time ADDING those tags in the first place. The coding thread is a good example of this. Being able to browse by cover, you would be surprised how more creative you would be in track selection. It's been such a long time, you think that friend of yours is dead, but rest assured, rebirth is coming. Id say the next year is crucial to Serato for implementing cover art. As I said, most DJ's still use CD's, at least where I'm coming from..

Quote:
is album art really necessary?
IT IS ESSENTIAL! (Yeah, I'm screaming..)
Remember, the main asset of a DJ is not the stuff we list in this thread: speakers, tables, mixers, computers, lights etc. No, its first and foremost your music collection. So it only makes sense to visualize it...

And for the virus/large image argument:
For stability and efficiency, SSL could create small versions of the artwork when building overviews, either into the files itself or a database, to avoid reading large images at playing time.

And yes, sure, if you don't want it, they can keep it an option, just like "show album art deck" is implemented now..

That 17" MB Pro is big. You'll find it to be light weight though compared to an HP 17". If you get a Speck case to protect it, you'll really hate the weight. My 15" MB Pro weighs like a tank WITH the Speck coverings.

Since cover art is ALREADY AVALIABLE cant they just scroll through the list of tracks in the library and look at the coverart in the left.....isnt that browsing by cover art???

yes but the music files are a necessity for the program to be useful without the music you cant use the program at all....take away the cover art and you still have a perfectly functional program

No, it's not the same thing at all. The way SL is now, you have to first select a track before the artwork pops up. TRUE BROWSABLE ARTWORK is when you see all the artwork thumbnails for each track NEXT to the track name/info. Think iTunes coverflow or any other similar system. We want to SEE the artwork to remember and select tracks to load/play while flying through a mix, NOT go on an easter egg hunt where you have to select tracks to see if it has the artwork you remember. BIG difference and it's all explained at great length and detail here: www.scratchlive.net and here's just one example of how that can be accomplished: soulsonica.com
DJWALDO 6:25 PM - 10 December, 2009
In 1999 I used album covers.... over the course of 10 years I managed to teach myself to use artist name and titles. I too can still go through the albums I still have off cover art alone. I think plenty of guys have stories. However low and behold times are a changing....I do apologize for my ability over the course of ten years to teach myself what I guess is an amazing feat! Maybe those of us that can't are just on a slower learning curve and we should not talk badly about them for it.
Dj-M.Bezzle 6:27 PM - 10 December, 2009
serato needs to put out limitied edition flash cards....mabye a mnemonics game or something lol....i just dont see how someone cant at least remember the artist who did the song. I guess im biased since most of what i play dosent even have artwork (alot of underground bootleg type remixs)

shoot, i started DJ'ing in 97 and most of the 12's i got were in black or white sleeves. the last 12" single i bought that had a picture cover was "Run DMC - It's Tricky".

also, if you used any remix services, they all have the same cover.

i marked all my sleeves with stickers that had "side>number>artist>title>BPM" and thats how i searched through my collection.

just chiming in. if i DJ'ed in the 80's, maybe cover art would mean a lot more to me because i got homies that did and when they hear a 80's or 90's track, they describe the cover art lol!

Yep, there are those that will laugh and scoff at artwork, but there are many who believe (self included) that artwork adds soul to the track. I think people generally cared a lot more and put more effort into their productions back when tracks where on vinyl and artwork was designed for each release. It was an entire package that the end user could grab onto and remember. Sadly, this is something that is getting lost in the digital world where many things are becoming so disposable. I personally have a record collection which exceeds well over 5,000 plates and I intimately know just about every track on them just by glancing at the cover art. Apple and others understand this and are catching on by making artwork key to the music experience. Hoping SL will too.

hp's get extremely hot, especially with that amount of video ram. also, most of the hp series using scratchlive suffer from a lot of usb drop outs. if you wan't a pc get an asus or something. the macbook pro you have is fine for video.

Discobee 4:09 PM - 26 February, 2010
Check the video..it's a neat effect that spreads wide in numerous patterns that's pretty unique in the DJ lighting market right now. What's good about it to me is the square pattern which can pretty much cover the entire dancefloor for your mobile gigs.

www.americandj.com
DJ Viru 4:33 PM - 26 February, 2010
How do you guys mount the Revo 4? Truss? What kind of trusses do you guys use?
MexiKanMan 4:42 PM - 26 February, 2010
I put it on the floor and angle up at the ceiling
Discobee 4:47 PM - 26 February, 2010
You can mount it in a number of ways:

- with a C-clamp on a lighting stand or truss
- with an O-clamp on a lighting stand or truss
- place atop table aiming up to the ceiling if you want to point it up
- bolt down the bracket to a mounting surface if you're doing a permanent install (such as in a club)

I use a lightweight lighting stand which has a wingnut at the center of the T-bar. I bolt the bracket of the Revo4 to that wingnut so the Revo4 is at the center of the T-bar. I can then point the Revo4 either up towards the ceiling or down on the dancefloor. This is for a mobile gig application.
DJLRock 10:52 PM - 26 February, 2010
i have em clamped to 8ft box truss
beatdown 12:43 AM - 27 February, 2010
So my mobile lighting rig looks like 2 t-bars, rigged with 2 color LED par 64 cans, 2 gobo changing moonflower effects, a LED bar color wash, and soon to be added Revo 4. I have a truss crosspiece, but it doesn't work well in the bar I bring my lights to, so I don't use it frequently.

Eventually I want to have the LED bar and the Revo as center effects, pointed down on the dance floor, with the two moonflowers crossing the floor and the two par cans pointed on me. Need a cheap fogger too.

I picked up a christmas lighting remote control that serves as a three channel wireless on/off controller for my lights. Not bad for $15, and has functioned flawlessly so far (probably not good for non-LED effects, as they are limited to 15 amps I think)

I had a really cool idea about this! But I know it will require either serato to make a midi controler or someone else to make one directly for serato, but what I want is for the buttons to light up in the colour i have my cue point set to! That would be the shit!

1. Ableton 8 Licence
2. Rane SIXTY-EIGHT
3. 2 more HDs for the Drobo
4. more Ram for the iMac and MBP
5. Dicer and X1

Next 5 things I am planning on doing:

2. Update my websites
3. get cracking with Ableton
4. master Q-Bert DVDs
5. move my studio into a different room
DJ Jonasty 7:35 PM - 18 June, 2010
Agreed, great thread!

I don't need to buy anything else although it is tempting to add new gear. I just plan on mastering the gear I currently own. Maybe there should be a new thread called, next 5 DJ goals or something. So on that tip I'll list my 5 things I plan on doing:

1. Finish a track in Ableton or Maschine, don't care which, just finish one.
2. Learn how to use Ableton as an efx processor for Serato. (just for fun)
3. Create some nice drum kits to play live with Maschine linked with another DJ software.
4. Organize my library (this should be #1) get rid of junk and ish I don't want to play
5. Work on my cuts. (sort of a lost cause)
DJ GaFFle 8:21 PM - 18 June, 2010
Quote:

I got the 2 SCX 700s + 2 SCX 500s
I got the Danley TH-118 and sold the TH-118
I got the QSC PL325 but will be selling it.
I got a Crown Macrotech 12000i for the new Danley. It's only using 1 channel of the amp but it's 4000 watts / channel @ 4 ohms.

Still debating on the Global Trussing... I want either the mini truss or 12" box trussing. (which is better considering my scanners are 29 lbs max each for the 700s and 14 lbs for the 500s)?

They are nice. Coming from them BS Harbingers they are greatly appreciated, the 612s are lighter as well, making transporting a breeze, that 618 sub is a BEAST! Usually that's all I need for midsize events, more than enough sound! Peace!

DJ Reflex 3:01 AM - 25 April, 2012
Dj AR1 - If you are going to get keyboard stands, I would recommend getting a pair of them for a large coffin. Also, get the double pole versions. The single stands are way too flimsy and unstable for DJ gear. One thing, however, they are adjustable, but you have to open them pretty wide to get them at a low enough height for DJ use. I had to cut the legs off and re-weld them about 6 inches lower than normal.

One thing I need to buy is car insurance. I recently had my 25th birthday and my father gave me a car and told me to get insurance on it but I still haven't started doing it. My friend recently advised me to read the reviews on unique-insurance-company.pissedconsumer.com because he also did insurance there. I saw a lot of positive reviews and I think very soon I will also insure my car.

What is the consumer decision making process. The consumer decision-making process involves five basic steps. This is the process by which consumers evaluate making a purchasing decision. The 5 steps are problem recognition, information search, alternatives evaluation, purchase decision and post-purchase evaluation.

I have a spreadsheet of things I want to buy but let me tell you I have reached the point where the very next thing I need is an ASSISTANT! Doing all this by myself is getting gruesome. But

1. Transit Van (been using Uhaul to avoid maintenance and extra insurance since I'm still pretty seasonal.
2. New Macbook. This 2014 is on its last leg. Going to retire it from DJing and use it to run my visuals
3. Toadmatic Booth
4. Haze machine.
5. SUITS! I only have one suit and that just isn't enough.

have you considered a smallish/medium sized trailer? you get the best of both worlds... no insurance and very minimal maintenance.

I’ve went back and forth in a trailer and I’m still not all the way convinced either way. Benefits are definitely less maintenance costs, less insurance costs and A LOT cheaper. Disadvantages are I don’t really have any where I can park it (my driveway might not work) and it’s not as convenient as a van when dealing with some of these venue parking spaces.
Dj_Nix 12:26 AM - 6 October, 2022
thats true... storage in the short term can be different. I like it because I can store everything i use in the trailer, ready for the next gig. you may be able to rent a parking spot cheap at a storage place, boat yard or warehouse.
DJ Reflex 1:47 AM - 6 October, 2022
I bought a used Ford E250 cargo van a few years back. Best investment ever! I'm not sure what area you're from, but cold winters can mess with gear left out in a trailer. At least the van is heated during travel and gets the condensation off well before the gig. Either way, good luck!

Also, take a look at the Antari Z350 haze machine. I use mine almost every gig and it puts out! (More than my ex!) Small, light, low power, and doesn't leak.
KayPlaya 9:46 PM - 8 October, 2022
Nice! Yea a van is more ideal for me. It’s not too cold where I’m at but I would NEVER leave my gear in a van orc trailer. Gotta make it a little harder for thieves to get to. And yes I just rented that same Antari hazer last week and the output is crazy!
