Songs you wish they would have made a video for.

I was playin the B-Side by Da Brat & Notorious the other night and was thinking to myself "damn, they should have made a video for this track"

What are some other songs you wish they would have made an official video for?

DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince - Nightmare on My Street :)

** Apparently there was a video at one time...to quote Wikipedia**

The song's release coincided with the fourth Nightmare on Elm Street film A Nightmare on Elm Street 4: The Dream Master, but producers at New Line Cinema were not pleased. A video allegedly shot for the single was buried, and a disclaimer was hastily included on each pressing indicating that the record and the single was not officially affiliated with the "Nightmare" property. However, Jive Records ended up releasing the soundtrack to the next film, A Nightmare on Elm Street 5: The Dream Child.

SNOOPDOGG VS C - MURDER

A-swift i know U say that U were in the studio when this song was made & I am not disputing that but the fact is the first person who posted on this thread about this song was correct.

The song was initially release on Snoop Dogg's album on No Limit (I think it was "Top Dogg" or something like that). It was NOT released as one of the main songs they were promoting. It got MASSIVE play down here in the south WITHOUT the benefit of a video & no clean version at the time. It featured Snoop, C-Murder & Mr Magic.

About 1 year later it was re-released....the exact same version, not a remix/noty remade or anything, basically unchanged, but now obn C-Murder's album. Unlike on Snoop's album from a year earlier where it WAS NOT one of the featured singles (although it was an Underground hit), on C-Murders album it was in my opinion the only good track & was the featured & promoted single that included a video.

People therefore know it as C-Murder's song but 1 year earlier was a song on Snoop's album.

This is true but the credits on the Snoop Album say C-murder Feat. Snoop and Mr. Magic while the other songs all say Snoop Featuring whoever. This might have been thrown onto snoops album to boost sales but it could have still been C-murder's song.

It's like the Jeezy and Jay-Z song on Jay's recent album. That was originally intended for Jeezy's album but Jay said he was taking it.

Video quailty and sound are not so hot on MY12inch but if they were they would give a lot of pools a run for their money. I can play one bad audio/video every now and then..... Old hip-hip they have a good selection some I didn't have. You can sign up for a 3 day trail for like 5 dollars and it is worth it. If you do it by pay pal be sure to cancel the one that say after 3 days $50 or you will be chagred..Be sure to look into VDJ tools they really do have some nice intros for most of the hits..... If they ever redo the vids I would for sure be a member just for the oldschool. Best part no rinigtone crap on the vids although there text stay on there longer and are on the front and the back of the vids.....

Ok, this time I'm not kidding. I really did chill with Egyptian Lover on a video shoot a few years ago. His homie Snake Puppy from LA Dream Team was chillin too but I didn't know him so I didn't speak to him. The video was for one of his newer songs not the old stuff everybody knows.

He came out and checked out a Laker game with me last year, I should have tried to convince him to produce a video for some of the old jams. I bet even the youngsters would notice that. That's how they do.

We spoke to the label that has Debbie Deb and Freestyle. They never did videos for them, but said that Debbie Deb might be releasing a 2009 mix of When I Hear Music, and would do a video for it. When we add Sony stuff in the next couple weeks, we'll add Cover Girls, Lisa Lisa and a few others. We have all the Stevie B videos, however Unidisc owns them for Canada, so we won't be getting permission to use any of them.

As for some of the other requests above, we've searched for most of them and there aren't any videos available. Sorry guys...keep sending your requests and we'll see what we can dig up

I would have to guess they added a disc or two since then, I don't have any footage.

Never forget the night I first saw it on the tube.

DJ Magic Mike is now an active club VJ (living in Florida). Makes some of the sickest video edits I've seen, he plays out House of Blues over here fairly regularly. He's one of those guys that makes a custom video to every track he plays and they're all exclusive, non shared edits. Hell of a turntablist too, and he's a SSL + VSL brother as well. I have a lot of respect for the work he puts into it.

I don't think he even made a video to his own songs. And if he did, I seriously doubt anyone would have a copy but himself, just like the rest of his video edits.

you are probably thinking of Numbers by Kraftwerk and there is a vid for that.

kraftwerk is correct.. I have not seen that one.. tell me where I can find it.
At 4:11 PM 5 March 2010
most of what i have found for numbers is live footage. i will have to pull out the record but from what i recall it's attached to the track called computer world. so the vid may be "numbers/computer world"

Yeah there's not an official video but those work. The quality isn't bad for a live performance, I just layed the actual track over it. Syncs real well.
