The Ratt Report is for XP only and will not work with Vista.

With that said, where do you have your usb audio buffer set?
Have you tried plugging into other usb ports on your computer (don't plug your SL1 into a usb hub or splitter)?
Do you have any other usb devices plugged in?
If so, if you unplug them and test can you play without dropouts?

Have you turned off any internet connections (wireless, ethernet), Bluetooth, and
anti virus software?

Do you have all the latest updates from Windows as well as any driver, chipset, and bios updates from the manufacturer of your computer's website?
