mixer with a budget

dohreimee 3:05 AM 20 November 2009
hey all

ive got just over a $1000 to spend on a mixer and i can get the ttm56s for about that price...what would your suggestions be for buying a mixer? go with the ttm56? or somethin else? i do alot of scratching as well as mixing

cheers
Maskrider 4:39 AM 20 November 2009
ttm56 you wont regret it.
babooza69 4:40 AM 20 November 2009
xone22 is what i got and i'm under serious budget
ninos 4:43 AM 20 November 2009
^^ +1 ive used the xone22.. its badass

also +1 for the rane ttm 56. sick ass mixer (built like a tank)

if you can spend a little more over 1000$ try a pioneer.. a djm 909 or a djm 700..

i own a 700 and its the sickest mixer ive used.

you would wanna invest in a pioneer or rane tho. no disrespect to allen and heath.
Mike_P 4:55 AM 20 November 2009
does nobody rock a vestax anymore? haha! i heart my 07. and for $300 you can't beat that with a stick...then you can blow the rest on coke and hookers!
dohreimee 5:47 AM 20 November 2009
i think i leaning more towards the ttm 56

any effects on it? like echo?
ninos 5:48 AM 20 November 2009
no effects on the 56.. if you were to purchase the 56 i would recommend buying a effects unit.. such ass a pioneer efx 500 or 1000.

BTW.. the pioneer's have amazing effects.
dohreimee 5:49 AM 20 November 2009
how bout the 57? echo?
ninos 5:50 AM 20 November 2009
im not to sure about echo.. but the 57 does have effects built into it. the 57 is not all that great when it comes to effects, i think most people who own one will say that.
dohreimee 5:51 AM 20 November 2009
oh ok...i think i'll go with the 56 and get the effects unit like u said
ninos 5:53 AM 20 November 2009
sounds good, trust me, you wont be dissapointed with your choice. ive had a 56 for about 2 months and loved it.. but i got the 700 because the extra channels, as for the effects unit, they are a load of fun. glad i could help.
geeunot 8:36 AM 20 November 2009
djm 800 if u save a couple more bills do it!
DjWoody 8:55 AM 20 November 2009

this is true the Effects on the 57SL aren't really that great the Echo Effect is ok not the best but still good. . .
DJS/R 3:21 PM 20 November 2009
Sell you SL1 and get a 57

Or just get a used 57 they go for that price about.
DJ Benny B NYC 3:39 PM 20 November 2009
first off, when you said you were on a budget, I didn't think you were gonna say you had $1,000... that's a good amount of money for it.

I ride for pioneers, I think they sound better AND they have effects. It's much more bang for your buck especially if you already own a serato box
SuckaDJ 6:12 PM 20 November 2009
pioneer 800. done.

Your budget is not too far from experiencing life... jk
DjWoody 6:36 PM 20 November 2009
My vote goes for the Pioneer 800.... hehe
adhdj 6:44 PM 20 November 2009
What is the difference between the Pioneer 700 and 800? They both do MIDI right? Does the 700 have effects?
SuckaDJ 7:21 PM 20 November 2009

...and thats why i'll still be going with the ttm56...although i've found a brand new 57 for 1500
Dj Ace 9:22 AM 21 November 2009
ttm 56S
DJ Shameless 10:19 AM 21 November 2009
i'm changing over from an 05 proIII to a 57. if you're a scratch dj on ssl, i'd recommend the 57. small, compact and with ssl control and effects (not the best effects), and with the best crossfader i've used ever. the 800's fader is clumsy in comparison, but better with effects.... so if u prefer using effects more go with the 800, but if u enjoy cutting, the 57/56S's fader will actually improve your scratching.
O.B.1 11:22 AM 21 November 2009
the '57's effects are actually cool with a little practice...
sometimes i echo out the track(punch echo -drop the line fader) and bring the same track back in with a filter sweep... i only have to hit a couple buttons in a row,
but it sounds kinda neat live,

if you ever want to spin video the 57 also has native control over videoS:L as well as
SSL

but do your own research,
(rane/pioneer/a&h/etc. all have their own unique +'s and -'s)
dohreimee 12:21 PM 21 November 2009
so its a 56 for me unless i can sell of my 7 month old sl1...what do ya reckon? about 500?
Dj Ace 5:18 PM 21 November 2009
www.djdeals.com
for the 57sl
Dj Ace 5:20 PM 21 November 2009

for the 56s

you can usually sell the sl1 box for about 350.00 to 400.00
