does nobody rock a vestax anymore? haha! i heart my 07. and for $300 you can't beat that with a stick...then you can blow the rest on coke and hookers!
dohreimee 5:47 AM - 20 November, 2009

im not to sure about echo.. but the 57 does have effects built into it. the 57 is not all that great when it comes to effects, i think most people who own one will say that.

this is true the Effects on the 57SL aren't really that great the Echo Effect is ok not the best but still good. . .
DJS/R 3:21 PM - 20 November, 2009
Sell you SL1 and get a 57

Or just get a used 57 they go for that price about.

first off, when you said you were on a budget, I didn't think you were gonna say you had $1,000... that's a good amount of money for it.

I ride for pioneers, I think they sound better AND they have effects. It's much more bang for your buck especially if you already own a serato box
SuckaDJ 6:12 PM - 20 November, 2009
pioneer 800. done.

Your budget is not too far from experiencing life... jk
DjWoody 6:36 PM - 20 November, 2009
My vote goes for the Pioneer 800.... hehe
adhdj 6:44 PM - 20 November, 2009
What is the difference between the Pioneer 700 and 800? They both do MIDI right? Does the 700 have effects?
SuckaDJ 7:21 PM - 20 November, 2009
^ here ya go (800/700 side by side comp.)

...and thats why i'll still be going with the ttm56...although i've found a brand new 57 for 1500
Dj Ace 9:22 AM - 21 November, 2009
ttm 56S
DJ Shameless 10:19 AM - 21 November, 2009
i'm changing over from an 05 proIII to a 57. if you're a scratch dj on ssl, i'd recommend the 57. small, compact and with ssl control and effects (not the best effects), and with the best crossfader i've used ever. the 800's fader is clumsy in comparison, but better with effects.... so if u prefer using effects more go with the 800, but if u enjoy cutting, the 57/56S's fader will actually improve your scratching.
O.B.1 11:22 AM - 21 November, 2009
the '57's effects are actually cool with a little practice...
sometimes i echo out the track(punch echo -drop the line fader) and bring the same track back in with a filter sweep... i only have to hit a couple buttons in a row,
but it sounds kinda neat live,

if you ever want to spin video the 57 also has native control over videoS:L as well as
SSL

but do your own research,
(rane/pioneer/a&h/etc. all have their own unique +'s and -'s)
dohreimee 12:21 PM - 21 November, 2009
