Hi guys - is there a way to add artwork to your library - even if you are not using an iTunes library?

Thanks

The only way I am aware of is using itunes to attach the art to the song file.

We don't recommend having Scratch Live "read itunes library" but the program itself does have some benefits to it.

Another Mac program that can embed album art is Media Rage.

Unless you have a PC, or can run Windows on your Mac. There's a bunch of Windows only programs that can add artwork, not so many for Mac.

could you add the artwork on a pc , then transfer it to a mac?

and if so, are there any freeware programs you know of?

Tag&Rename and Media Monkey are some good free PC programs that can add artwork. And yes, the artwork is stored in the files themselves, so they will transfer.

+1
Media Rage is great for both adding artwork, tagging files, converting tags to correct id version, and a whole lot of other features...
