I decided to enroll in school to get my BA in accounting. I have had a hard time trying to find a decent job since I got laid off so I figure I need to advance my skills.

I'm thinking of going to an online school so I can balance work/school @ the same time. Anyone have any experience with them?

I went to DeVry which has online classes, but I don't know about any full on online schools.

Maybe university of phoenix, but you need to make sure you will get a real degree that's from a nationally accredited college, not regionally.

I was thinking of going to UOP unitl I talked to a friend of mine today and she said don't go because the units are not transferable to other universities. She said they are accredited but most of the other schools don't accept the units. Damn!

Gotta do your research for that part.

The units might not be transferrable, but the degree might. DeVry's units won't transfer to a cal state buy by BS will and I can get a Masters from a state school with BS from DeVry.

This company handles my schools online course (UNLV) and they have a list of Career Colleges that are online. I'm not sure about transferring credits though. Good luck with your search.
