DJ DROPS N INTROS ...WHERE CAN I GET THEM

Dj M-ROD 1:28 PM - 5 November, 2009
I"ve SEEN IN THE PAST PEOPLE HAVE BOUGHT DROPS FROM OTHER DJS HERE!
MOST OF THEM THAT SOUND LIKE "ERIC EDWARDS" ....WHERE CAN I GET THEM?
J0be 2:39 PM - 5 November, 2009
www.djdropins.com

Googled the shit out of that.
Musically Minded 4:48 PM - 5 November, 2009
www.radiodaddy.com (FREE) its also a good way to meet some really talented people who do drops!

MABYE from ERIC EDWARDS, ALSO WHAT DO YOU HAVE AGAINST THE LETTERS v AND e THAT THEY HAVE TO BE SMALLER THAN ALL YOUR OTHER LETTERS
Johnny Falvelo 6:50 AM - 7 November, 2009
You can actually buy an Eric Edwards custom made drop here...

Hmmm, interesting, how come they charge $50, did Edwards go up or are they adding a service charge?

Go here www.egvo.com with $350 and get 10 drops or find 9 other DJ's and it's $35 a drop. I could use another Edwards drop or maybe I'll try that free site.
gotchuckz 8:04 PM - 7 November, 2009
^ they charge $50 because you get 2 drops. one with effects and the other dry.
Dj Shamann 8:52 PM - 7 November, 2009

Then that's still only one drop.
gotchuckz 9:57 PM - 7 November, 2009
yeah only one drop. guess you pay an extra $15 for the effects.
Ab-Loon 10:53 PM - 7 November, 2009

I actually have a girl friend of mine do some of my soulful stuff, and it it actually can sound pretty damn sick, you should try it... I just use garage band to do all of my stuff.

Yep I caught that after I posted. Not too bad of a deal if you don't want to organize a community drop.
Johnny Falvelo 1:29 AM - 9 November, 2009
Exactly...$15 extra so you don't have to organize 9 other djs AND you get the dry and produced drop together. It's worth the $15 for the time you'll save. I wouldnt expect them to not make a penny for at least setting it up and producing the track with their effects.
SuckaDJ 3:12 AM - 9 November, 2009
I don't think yourremix dude is Edwards. Someone similar though.
SuckaDJ 3:13 AM - 9 November, 2009
^^ Actually meant to say, not all the packages are with Edwards
DJYoshi 2:06 PM - 9 November, 2009
just go with the professional sweepers and imaging. That's what they're called in radio world: "imaging" and sweepers. Drops are more-so from artists/celebs and what not.
BIG DJ PHAZE 11:57 PM - 9 November, 2009
Try asking some artists/celebs for some drops. Doesn't hurt to ask.
BIG DJ PHAZE 3:53 AM - 10 November, 2009
^ Nice find
DJYoshi 8:59 PM - 10 November, 2009
I ALWAYS keep a recorder with me. Artists on promo (albums coming out or just released) always do drops... I doubt you'll get one from Jay anymore unless you're someone HUGE... but back when the Black Album and American Gangster were released...he did drops for all of the mixers on the list.

And most of my artist drops have come in the back of the club or in the green room.... when they've had the time to do them... 99.9% of the time they'll be cool and do them for you. worst comes to worst..... contact their mgmt or label.
Dj M-ROD 11:13 PM - 16 November, 2009
Thanks to all!!
But ima go with the YOURREMIX.COM

They have "POWER DROPS" which is the voive of Eric Edwards ( EGVO.COM)

Which does the voice over for the local radio station POWER 106 (Los Angeles)

kinda pricey of $50 but worth it.

Hey Gang ! Nice to see Johnny Falvelo plugging the Wigman. Yes ! Over The Top & Successful . Cheesy ? yep! Original ? Yes. The Best ? No Way. There are many great voice over artist who do DJ Drops. Johnny has mentioned on other serato discussions that I am also outdated. Yes this is also correct. Johnny Falvelo has never had anything positive or even close to constructive to say about TheWigman.

I do not attack or defend this and other comments that Johnny has made. I do question his intent.

I would also like to add to the list of other DJ Drop companies that I like and have got good feedback from many of my customers.

Remember do not overuse your Drops in the club or on your mix tapes. With your Mix tapes you simply need an intro and couple of ID's with your name to protect your mixes and get the credit you deserve . In the club make sure your not using heavy effects on your drops, messes with the dance floor flow. Try to use Drops that are Dry or Vocally Effected. This way you can Drop the Drop in the mix and it glides right over the top. Try not to use your drops more than 3 to 4 times per hour. Many would say never use DJ Drops. How do you get the credit you deserve. How do protect your mixes and promote who you are? A serious professional Dj needs to brand his image . DJ Drops help promote who you are. REMEMBER NOT TO OVER USE YOUR DROPS

Stop worrying about a stupid drop with your name on it, worry about your mixing.
theWigman 5:43 PM - 17 September, 2011
I would have to agree with you DJ Cash focus on your mixing. DJ Drops allow you to pay attention to the mix and not worry about how you are going to promote yourself. Some would say fuck the promotion shit and pay attention to the mix. I would agree. Again how are you promoting yourself in the mix. I do a lot of over the top cheese ball drops. The secret is I do more than 50% of my Drops Dry. No vocal or sound effects. A simple Name Drop will go a long way in self promotion . Remember less is better . Practice your mixing skills. listen to other DJ's mix even if your the best. Promote who you are and what you do. Get your facebook & Myspace up to date. If it fits your style join a crew.

Mix tape & Remix Artist should be protecting their mixes and getting the credit they deserve. Tag your mixes with some vocal graffiti . Include your name & name of the mix every 3rd or 4th transition in the mix. This helps keep the thieves from stealing your hard work and taking credit for it.

To get to the altitudes you need the right attitude. You need the tools. You need the skills. You need the passion. You need to promote. That is if your mixing to make $$$$$. If your in it for the Ego and many are, PARTY ON!

Keep Your Ears On Your Mix, Build Your Skills,Promote Who You Are

Buddy, you sound like a Marketing teacher or a really overinvolved parent talking to their child. Either way, very condescending.

I promote myself by playing dope music that's mixed well. I use drops, but they're one-word drops that don't virtually scream "look at meee look at meeee". People come to a club or a bar to hear good music, not to get promoted to.

And BTW that thing about "altitude and attitude" is way fucking corny. SMH
theWigman 6:40 PM - 17 September, 2011
Very well said DJ Cash. What you have just done is self promotion. You have promoted to yourself and others who you are. You do things your way. Have you ever considered that maybe not all on this forum have the same skillz you have. How about encouraging young DJ's . Giving a little direction.

Again I do not disagree with what you say. It is about playing dope music. As far as the "Look At Mee" . . I said earlier in this thread a simple name drop will go a long way. People do come to the club to a bar to hear good music. Do you want them to you refer to you as The DJ at the after party or do you want them to know who you are.?

DJ Cash you have made some good points.

DJ Drops.. There are many kinds, many flavors and many prices.. Such as "The Wigman" , Stephen J and the new website : www.crazydjdrops.com . I find All of these to be good for everyone and the best priced. Crazy DJ Drops has them as low as $4.99 with SUPER fast turn around. I have actually used all 3 of these and find them pretty much all the same and to my liking. Go ahead pay 50 dollars for a drop that DJ Pauly D uses... As you can see he still can't DJ! Point taken that any DJ Drop won't make you a DJ but will def give you what you need and that is to be recognized and heard to your listeners.. There is no wrong Drop Company or Voice Imaging company.. get over it!
