Kill switch button failing?
My TTM 57SL's low kill switch button has started to intermittently fail, when i press and hold it the kill switch light flickers which leads me to believe its not making contact properly. Has anyone had this happen to them before, if so how did you sort it out? I'm seriously considering opening it up to try and clean it myself, as i bought this off ebay so I dont know if there is any warranty on the item.

this sounds suspiciously like the b1 - 4 button problem, the unit - whilst being awesome, seems to have a mild inherent problem with misfiring on their buttons.

Spray some of deoxit id say like 4 sprays with the attachable red straw
Make sure you handle on the sides of the button (up,down and sideways)
Keep pressing the button so the solution can get inside the sensitive parts and start to "deoxitize" the button (not sure if thats a word)
make sure you clean any excessive fluids by using a cloth
leave mixer alone for 30 mins so the solution can evaporate
than PRESTO
This has worked for me so lets hope that it works for you.

Thanks for your replies, after reading those threads it seems like deoxit is the way to go. It mentions that there are v1 and v2 buttons, how do I know which version I have?

This topic has been WELL documented thru out this forum. Same problem....different button.

I agree and your warranty will not be voided just for spraying the dexoit. He should try it BEFORE sending it to Rane it will save the hassle of not having his mixer. 90% of the button problems can be solved just by using deoxit
