Using the TTM 57SL mixer as a Loop sampler Video
Hey Guys,
I made a quick little vid using the hold echo on the 57 as a simple loop sampler.
Its certainly not a replacement for your sequencing software, but its fun to mess around with! Check it out here:

very cool,
I use a boss rc20xl loopstation pedal to achieve the same effect.
(no tap-dancing with the '57, I'll have to try it)
It may not be a replacement for sequencing software/hardware but it's live in real time so it's even better...

Great video! I tried it out on my setup and had similar results. One thing to keep in mind is if you're going to change the when the sound echos (from every beat to every two beats) be sure to turn off the effect before you make the switch.

what is the maximum (longest) delay allowed (in seconds or milliseconds)?

I think it depends on the BPM or the song loaded. Whatever song you have loaded you can capture a sound and have it repeat every 4, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 beats. Make sense?

that's not very long.
-what about manually tapping the BPM really slow, what's the slowest BPM recognized?
I guess I could go experiment, but maybe someone here knows...

I don't know what the slowest BPM is however I have some tracks that are down in the 40 BPM area.
I actually changed the recorded BPM of a track when I was messing with this so that I could get a different feel for a beat.
This process is really cool because it's a lot like what Girl Talk does to make his mixes.
