Britney Spears - 3 ; Jason Derulo - Whatcha Say; Sean Paul - Deport them
simple.
extended.
rookie.
Vegas.
Britney Spears - 3
mix: Ultimix 151
quite simple... alot of the mixes were either too much, or too little.
I like that ultimix swapped the verses around, and its not a "HORRENDUS"
TOP40 beat... so I went with this mix.
this is also my first attempt at the ever popular bars with the images....
vimeo.com view
Jason Derulo - What cha say
mix: Max Methods mix.
I actually did this one 2 or 3 weeks ago, since Strictly has put out a more "pro"
one... but obviosly very simular... only so much you can do with this video
vimeo.com view
Sean Paul - Deport them (NSFW)
mix: Massive Joints
so this is really a 2 minute clip i just extended he hell out of.
lots of T&A, and Ive always love the song, but never saw this version
in its entirety, so I figured Ide make one... here it is

Id love some feedback on these (even they are lo-qualiy internet versions)

Hey Joshua nice video edits! Quick question, did you use the Mainconcept mp4 encoder in Vegas to render these? If so, what version of Vegas are you using? I realize that these are lower quality internet versions, but the blacks look pretty sharp - that has been my problem with edits made in Vegas - the darker colors usually look washed out. Did you export from Vegas as an uncompressed avi and then render to mp4 in another program?

Thanks man!
I was doing that for quite a while. but with some help from of the peeps around here
I pretty much got the export in vegas (8) down.
(or, so I think thus far)
I was tap dancing around some of correct settings for a while...just couldnt
"nail it"
I also go into the contrast effect and tweak that some (it can clear up washy/gray
screeens)... I do everything by "eye" I have a 1080p screen on my laptop, so if it
looks good on that I know it will look good pretty much anywhere else. (the 1080 screens have a nice flat black, so i lean towards overdoing the contast a tad)

edit.
yes. I WAS doing the uncompressed avi to mp4 in mediacoder.
now just straight render. (if my answer seemed confusing)

mix: JyMix's Booty Mix.
Ive always loved Jynxx's mix of this... and every video I see has all those breaks and
whatnot... so, problem solved.... well sorta, the original video I had wasnt money
even though it was pulled right off the KW dvd.

Looks Good J.C. your on your way to becoming your own Video VJ remixer. Just keep playing around and I'm sure your find tons of little things here and there you can add to our video edits. Then your get tired of them and just want to keep it as plan and to the point as possible. Keep banging out those edits!!

its easier to do video remixes than it is to do audio remixes...you really cant mess up a video mix...I mean u can but you have to be really dumb to mess it up :)

well call me Forrest, because the first few I did were complete abortions...
its true though.
Audio mixes used to take me a solid week.
Im not doing anything "flashy" in the videos, so now that Ive jumped the learning curve
it is relatively simple to do the basics with videos.

yeah. you don't need a lot of flashy stuff in vid mixes. i like vids that keep it clean like the original producer. a couple effects maybe here & there, but very sparingly! nice work bro, on all of these!!

So just to clarify, you are saying that you are now rendering to mp4 in Vegas using the Mainconcept encoder, but just with a little tweaking?? Thanks in advance for your help - I love the workflow in Vegas, but I'm still not happy with the mp4 quality out of Vegas!

the same way I tweak a movie when I watch it on my computer.
tweak the brightness, contrast, color, hue....
thats just me though

Wrapped up another tonight...
this is a full blown video mix, not an extd.
I did alot of experimenting, but kept it mostly subltle. the track is already a smoker
vimeo.com view
I walked the line Johnny Cash & Laurent Wolf.
this took my 5x the amount of time as the extendeds......such a difference

Christmas syndrome, you get something, play with it a bunch then get bored with it.
whats up with the Crops Millz? I want to know about these things so future
vids are money.
I wasnt going to go with the grainy one for the background, the jumping edges
are kind of un-nerving... but i wanted that spaghetti-western look.

well u dont want any black (non video) around the edges (left/right, top/bottom)...its not as much important on top/bottom because every vid is shot different (ie: 360/480 etc)..but left/right is important...im going to do a mix of deport them just to show u wot i mean...ill hit u up on aohell here shortly...
