Denon DN-S3700 and TTM 57SL

I just purchased the Denon decks and they are incredible. Watch out Pioneer, I think Denon has this one right. Now I need more people to join me on requesting scratch Live to implement native support for usb. I had the Pioneer CDJ-400 and the worked phenomenal but I had to give them up for the Pioneer.

I also just purchased the 3700's and I believe too that it is a better cd turntable than the cdj 800 or 1000 by far!!

The DN-s3700 does work great as a midi player, I have it all mapped out to serato, but I would like the engineers of serato to figure out a way to map the platter as midi so this way you we would be able to scratch.

DJ Anthony.,
After reading your post im a little confused. You said that "while using the MIDI you cant Scratch" I dont understand how this can be. I was interested in buying the Denons 3700s and running them with the Serato (SS1 or SS3)
Which version are you running? Are you using the the time code Cds?
I HOPE Serato would have native support for these tabletops.

I am using the newest version 1.9.2 When you use the midi on the cd player, your not actually using the time coded cd. The plater acts as a jog wheel as search bend, you cannot scratch. When NOT using the cd player as midi and using the cd's you are able do everything. the only thing that doesnt work is the sound effects that are built in to the cd player.

Dj Anthony,
Thanks for clearing that up for me. How would you rete the Denons 3700s?

Glad to join the Forum, just purchased the Denon 3700 this past Tuesday & Serato TTMSL 2wks ago. I'm still playing around with everything & learning all the controls for both. But so far so good, was happy to read about tools to sync folders on external hard-drive to crates

what these engineers really need to work on is a Timecoded CD that will allow us dj's to use the sound effects that are built in to these new cd turntables.

I'm still waiting on the ability to sync folders from external harddrive to crates

What do you mean by this? Can I not add music from an external drive to the crates?

DJ SmithHit wrote
you can but have to drag everytime you add new music...but Serato doesnt sync crates with external automatically

OH I see.. so I can NOT play files from the external (or search) when I am doing a live set? has to be on the internal?

no your not reading correctly

yes you CAN play files from external sources but if you add songs to your folders you have to delete them (internal AND external drives) and re-import them

I dont scratch, so would you recommend me to use DN-S3700 in Midi mode over timecode? Any preference?

Also I am bummed to see no announcement (yet) for Native control of Serato for DN-S3700, that will be killer!!
