Create Loop zone to calcul BPM
Hello,
I'm SL3 user, i play tech house and progessive house.
I mix since 1997 and i choose serato for this stability.
During 6 month i encode my 700 vynils
My mix is very long and fluid : 1, 2 or 3 mn depend the track
Since i play Serato, i use Absolute mode
I discover the "Relatif" mode and is loop 3 weeks ago. The advantage is that i can easily increase the during of my mix with a little loop behind the new track incoming.
So, i have a difficulty with the loop, when i play on the same beat 2 track since 2 mn and i active one loop, every time i need to change the pitch to find a new Tempo.
When you read this lines you guess that i'm not english .... Firstly i post in the french section of the forum, but i can't found solution.
I think that the loop are create with the BPM calculate when i analyse the track.
The BPM analyse is create by the full track reading.
In my style of music there are break time when i suppose SL can't calculate BPM, so the final BPM is average very accurate but false in my case.
My question is :
Can you create a new BPM calcul "When asked by owner" in a loop zone define by the DJ ? 8 or 16 beat (perhaps the first) that give the general BPM of the track.
Thank for your help ;)

Don't shoot me if I misunderstood.
If you are talking about the autoloop function, then yes, I think you're right and the Loop-lengths are created using BPM-tag.
It's not possible (yet) to select a loop-zone and have the BPM calculated out of that. The only way is have SSL calculate it, manually type in the BPM or use the BPM-tap function to calculate BPM.
If you want to create accurate loops, you can also create loops manually (like you do with cue points). You can set the loop-in and loop-out point and save that to the file. Once you're going to start your transition, just initiate loop 1, 2, 3,... whatever.
I hope this may be of any help.

Thanks for your help.
You give me a good solution, but i won't create 700 x 2 loop.
I 'm waiting for serato :)
